Yep, just driven a 40 mile round trip to fill up with V-power, forgot how much bigger the S2's tank is compared to my Corrado or Golf, managed to get the best part of 100 quid in there to burn with enthusiasm.

First thing I have to sort is the boot lid squeaking like hell, sounds like Alvin and the chipmunks are in there bumming each other to death.

Apart from that, a slight noisy blower motor and a tiny leak on one of my oil cooler unions no other teething problems. The man from VCDS also say yes. Best keep my mouth shut.

Took the day off work and went for my first proper excursion today. Set off from mine on the A470 too Buith Wells, from there I went over too Aberystwyth via Rhayader and the Elan valley mountain road. Went for a walk on beach, had some grub and returned via Llangurig on the A44.

Been keeping a close eye on my AFR's and as far as I can see she's happy enough, unless I'm accelerating or off the throttle it on 14.7, on WOT it goes too 12.3 briefly before settling in the low 13's for the rest of the pull. Probably not ideal but at least it's safe enough till I get it mapped. The car does feel faster now, probably due to the reduced weight.

If I open the boot lid and let it sit on the catch the rodent orgy stops completely so I guess it's the seal that's making a racket, will have a good look over the weekend.

Didn't get a chance to take any decent photos because of the weather but here's a coupe of pics along the way.

I had the rodent rape my boot too, I adjusted the stops either side to tighten it up - needs a good thump to close it now but silent as a....errrrr.... mouse.

I'll give that and adjusting the hatch as Alex suggested a try this weekend, it's the only annoying rattle I have which considering how much sound insulation and stuff I've removed isn't bad.

13.1/13.2 is probably a little on the lean side for WOT but to be honest it's very hard to keep an eye on that as well concentrating on driving safely so I'll have work out how to plug my lap-top in and look at the logs to know exactly what it's doing. I only gave it any real stick twice yesterday and only very briefly in Third gear on a level road as I appreciate the software I'm running isn't ideal. At least she's safe to cruise around off boost, think I'll unplug the N75 and see how it behaves then for an extra bit of safety.

Plugged VCDS in again last night, all clear again which is reassuring

I need to replace the hose that goes from the cross member to the metal boost pipe over the cam cover, now it's been stretched a few times I can see it's starting to perish. I need an ABY one if anybody has a decent one knocking about. All my other boost hoses are in great condition, most of them are new, so I'd rather not have to shell out on a silicon set just yet.

Just been to the weigh bridge as I had to pick up some building supplies, 1330 KG's with two thirds of a tank of juice, a full washer bottle and the rear seats fitted. That's without a spare wheel, tools or me. Quite pleased with that.
