Yep, 215/50-15 gears it down 6.4% vs the "standard" 225/45-17.
I would estimate that the FATS time with 225/45-17 would be 2.95 to 3.0s.
In other words, a 60-90mph time right around 2.8s.
That gives for example the following 2.8s company:
Ferrari 458 (when tested by Motor Trend)
Ferrari 430 Scuderia
Porsche 997.2TT (PDK)
Porsche 997TT S ("530"hp, does 10.8s 1/4 mile and 0-60 in 2.9s)
Saleen S7
BTW, faster than the Lexus LFA (60-90 in 2.9s)
Mk1 (480hp) R35 Nissan GTR is slow in comparison, with 3.20s
AAN into Ur quattro, 400-450 Bhp Target

Thanks guys
Tyres are 215/ZR50 15" so this probably gears the car down a tadge...
The performance box is not with me atm, it's still in the car where I store it.
Found interpreting the data in a clear format not overly easily, this was all done in a bit of a rush late after work. The 50-70 and 60-80 where actually done with tools, spare oil and a wastegate etc in the boot.
I thought it felt pretty quick, but the figures were better than expected
Main thing is its just really good fun, and probably fast enough to surprise me each time I go back to it.
Needs to be treated with respect though, don't forget this is a 28 year old car!
Ross-Completely agree

That is crazy fast... it would have to feel good to be taking to an Enzo in a UR in a 0-100
Not at all surprised you're happy with it now, your 'complaints' before sounded so much like mine, which a JP stage #2 head and PRJ remap resolved completely. In fact, the car is so great in the first half the rev range for 'normal' driving I even find myself thinking I could probably live with another 2-300rpm lag and go up to #8 hotside

My car does 60-90mph in 3.5sec and I think that's quick, 2.5secs much be insane!
Great for overtaking eh?!

Awesome Performance!!!
What is the final specs to achieve this now? turbo? WG? etc.Leave a comment:

Yup, just noticed in Darrens thread that he runs a CBL box that has the same 1.32 for 3rd and 4.11 FD.
Know the tyre size?
2.7 FATS with those ratios mean 3rd gear 60-90mph in right around 2.5s.
That is as quick as the following much rapid vehicles:
Ferrari 458 (570hp)
Porsche Carrera GT (612hp)
Ferrari Enzo (660hp)
993TT (408hp and 1507kg) was 3.40s in 3rd gear (same overall gear ratio)
997TT (480hp) is 3.30s (both thru gears and 3rd gear only)
Stock RS2 was 5.2s in 3rd gear
In other words: good job, fellas

Excellent times!
Can you post the Pbox graph as well?
Would be great to see the graph and data from separate 2nd gear and a 3rd gear, no shift pull from 2000rpm to redline (flat ground, of course).
FATS time won't be quite comparable to S2/RS2/RS4 as the URquattro ratios are quite a bit shorter, but 60-80mph and 60-90mph times will be comparable, and the short ratios gain quickness as long as the speed interval does not require a shift due to the shorter ratio.
What gearbox is in yours?

Very nice results!
You can send me your racelogic file and i can get some power figures for you. ill pm you my detailsLeave a comment:

I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with the way the car is performing now. It spools up nice and low and just keeps pulling and pulling.
Massive thanks to everyone involved this Sunday! I was very lucky to have just the right people all in one place at once.
Dimintri, JP, Ish and the guys at quattro coachworks all did a great job!
It wasn't without it's issues. First we had to find the diagnostic connectors, which Ish soon, found, never used these, wouldn't have had a clue, but he used an existing stripped loom, and knowledge from their own cars to find it.
All the guys at quattro coachworks are true petrol heads, with a good sense of humour
Their work rate was impressive.
Then we went out for mapping, the "refurbished" wastegate I bought from EFI Express was sticking badly. It would control about 0.5 Bar, and then suddenly stick and spike to 1.7! This was with the N75 disconnected, on all manual boost control.
JP came to the rescue with a decent unmolested wastegate from an RS2.
Dimitri did a great job mapping, and didnt give up even when I was a little despondant.
The car now idles better, doesnt stall, and has a much smoother powerband.
The reworked head that JP did for me has also made the car much better or boost, smoother and better up top.
Seriously guys, I'm really happy, it's now just as I wanted it.
Dimitri thinks I need a bigger turbo though!
Anyway, after taking a whole boot load of tools out, here are some perfromance box results, I think they speak for themselves!
The racelogic software is horrible to use, so here is a blurry photo, and then some data from the file;

0-60 in 3.9 Seconds
50-70 in 1.8
60-80 in 1.9
I think I maybe could do a bit faster with more time, but I was pretty pleased
I think I can improve the breather system which may help a little, but otherwise I wouldn't really change anything now

A Ur is about 200kg lighter than an S2. My series 2 with 3B is noticeably quicker off the mark than S2 thanks to lower weight though Cq blunt shape turns the tables after 100mph. But seeing as you cannot go over 100mph here without losing your licence It's not a problem for me...

Very nice, sounds like great fun to drive. How much does the car weigh?Leave a comment:

A wastegate and some other bits and bobs later it's dialed in.
Can't really make it produce more than about 1.7 bar, it just won't do it, even with the wastegate fully shut. And 1.45 to redline.
This is a ported head though.
Consistent 2.7 second FATS times with us two in the car.
It's very quick, but very linear power delivery. The very low weight is what makes it quick, I don't think it is running much more than 400 bhp though, but I am sure it is nice to drive.
Full boost is 3500ish, there's basically no lag at all on this. Just gets up and goes.Last edited by prj; 29 July 2012, 22:40.Leave a comment:
