  • Did you click on the "Fault Codes - 02" button in the first pic, whilst in the engine page? I've never seen a screen like that before..

    • Tried fault codes on the main screen, and fault codes in engine, the second two pictures are of a notepad file of the fault codes log.

      • Just do fault codes in engine, the rest of it is nonsense on a 3B.

Is your dizzy drive cog plastic or metal?

it seems you have a motronic thats programmed for car with automatic transmision
andy, maybe you can adapt the coding in ecu with vagcom

            • andy ,

do you know if the 65535 code showed up previously if the ecu as ran in another car?? , is it a modified/chipped ecu , 65535 used to be a lot of things , bad earth, modified code , chacksum mismatch etc

I think the ecus are the same, its just the software in the chips that is different.

This should be a RS2 spec ecu now.

                  Hi Eric

I dont know I am afraid.

Could easily be a checksum error from the software.

Bad earth would also make sense.

                  • With the ignition in the ON position each injector has 11.78 volts.

                    • I have continuity between the ecu pin and the IM bolt for;

14/55-Ground for Fuel Injectors (N30-83)- BR/W - ground on intake manifold

                      • Would have expected battery voltage at least i.e nearer 12.6V for a fully charged battery.
You could try a jump lead to earth the engine to the chassis temporarily in case that an issue.
As it worked before, something has either come off or gone pop!

                        • Continuity between intake manifold and the ECU plug

10/55- One of the Grounds for the ECU -BR/R
19/55- Ground from the ECU for various ECU controlled devices - BR/R - to intake manifold
24/55- Power Ground for "actuators" other than injectors - Not found in Bentley, presume BR/R, ground to intake manifold

Battery voltage is 12.4 in the boot.

                            • Have you got another fuel pump relay to substitute?
Sounds like quite a large voltage drop from battery to actuators.

                              • I do not appear to have continuity between

30/55- Ground for ECU and ECU sensors - G/BK (See details with a listing of the seven devices grounded through Pin T55/30)

                                and the engine or chassis?
