Well done that man, really glad it's worked first try, testament to Alex's proficiency with the looms and your attention to detail.

        Injector kit + spare seals

        Removing injector filter

        Old filter v new

Removing pintle cap with a trim tool

New o rings, filter, spacer and cap

        Back together

Fitted the injectors with the new seals, same leaks, fitted the blue seals instead and less leaks, gave them a wiggle whilst under pressure and they stopped leaking.

Fired the car up, had to use the throttle, sounds silky smooth at 2k+, wont idle, sounds like its not running on all cylinders at low RPM. Took it for a drive, drives perfectly at part throttle if kept above 2k, bogs below that, goes great as it starts to build boost, falls flat on its face about 5psi, feels like a boost leak and goes rich.

Drove back home and then it died about 10 times in a row trying to manoeuvre into the drive, eventually would not start (battery voltage dropped), winched it back into the garage and left it in disgust.

So tomorrow after work its boost leak test, pull codes, check over and hope for the best. (battery on charge tonight)

Random thought, should I have trimmed those coil packs to make them sit down further?

              Fresh battery, no start.
Starter clunks but does not spin
Removed starter and checked operation, works ok
              Cleaned starter contacts
Car starts (MAF sensor unplugged as leak testing)
              Leak test
Intake manifold still hitting power steering pump bracket
              Clearance power steering pump bracket
              Tighten intake manifold
              Leak test, now holding 30psi
              Refit MAF
Car does not start (engine spinning over)
              Unplug MAf
Car does not start (engine spinning over)

No signs of firing when spinning, almost fired a couple of times as I let go of the starter and throttle.

Fuel gauge is showing just above the red, so I am going to get some fuel and then try again.

The separate earth rings from the intake manifold are now all on one intake manifold bolt, should I separate them again?

I really don't know mate, if it worked like that before then I doubt that's the problem, have you checked for spark and fuel?

I notice some genuine injector O-rings, their nice and cheap aren't they

possible to have the coil plugs the wrong way round like you can on an ABY so it fires wrong?

That was my thoughts, cant hurt to separate them as per OEM though.

There is fuel at the rail, I dont have anybody to crank, might try and leave a plug on the cam cover and look through the windscreen?

I have not touched the coil wiring or plugs since it was running.

It should be fine then. On the stock ABY loom you have two 3 pin white plugs that fire the coils, one does cylinder 1,2+3 and the other 4+5.

I got them the wrong way round first try and engine coughed and farted and backfired like mad but wouldn't run, quick message to Mr Tonks and it was running in 5 mins!

Ok, I have a 2 and 3 pin plug, but it is 2-2 and 3-3, has not been touched.

I do not appear to have spark (Spark plug resting on cam cover)

When I span the engine for a while it fired once as I let the key go.

The two white plugs on the ABY harness are all +12v so all they do is supply the power to the coils. They are all live with ignition on. On Andy's harness the coil supplies are all run off the single big +12v supply for the original 3B coil.
Have you checked the hall sensor Andy, has the IM disturbed the dizzy? Also check the fuse for the coil, perhaps the TFSI coils draw more than the 3B unit. Drop me a PM we can work through all the wiring to check all that has been changed
