Nice solution with the pas pump. I assume you have converted to vacuum servo?

Thanks to Error for that idea for the PS pump, I really wanted to leave the bomb behind.

I always liked those side knee pads available only in LHD cars, and since the LHD centre console is a different shape
to the RHD ones, fitting a pad from a LHD car wont work.

My centre console had holes already drilled in the side, due to a previously installed car kit.
Instead of sourcing an perfect one, I decided I had nothing to loose by trying this.
Usually cars only have the one pad on the drivers side. I felt that always looked wrong so I really had to make them for both sides.



I had some pictures of the knee pad, and before I print them out I needed to work out the scale.


Test fit of my printout.


Used the rear picture to work out best placement of the drillholes.


Not too shabby.


This side is more difficult to fit due to the more severe curves.


Had to cut the allen head bolts so they wouldnt protrude through the foam.


Snug.


Had to powder coat them









I used foam, scrim foam and the fake alcantara to cover the pads.

Thanks guys.

I also got my clutch working. Had the dreaded pedal stuck to the floor issue.
Turns out all I had to do was wind out the adjuster a few turns and I was able to bleed the system as normal.

Not much has happened in meantime unfortunately, I managed to get my planning permission granted for my house, so my attention/funds is slightly diverted for the short term.
Luckly I dont have much more to buy for the car, just finish up a few things but I dont expect much to happen again until spring
Had to rearrange my priorities for a short time lol
