Bolt spacing is 142mm on the 6 pots, compared to 130mm on the 4 pot 993 and 996/Boxster S. Apart from the 996 GT3/Turbo 4 pots, which I think are also 142mm, but I don't have a set of those.
Smiler, I see your 6 pots are the ceramic ones like mine. Nice and light for their size.
do you know if these 6pots have the same bolting configuration as the 4pots 'big reds' on the rs2?
Hi
The 6 pots can be used with the 322 disks even under standard wheels as I have done it, however there is only about 3 mm clearance to the wheel so when balancing the wheels weights have to go on tthe outside of the wheel, ie balance like a steel wheel but still use stick on weights, i would not go for fancy pads as the swept area of the pad is like double that of a a standard pad and you won't get heat into pads to make them work on road driving
with the veloce ones i have very small clearance on the outside area already,so although 18inch im not sure they fit.If i ever decide to go for them, i would have to check first.
anyone care to organise a trial fit?
Any pics how you have mounted yours?
As they are on the porsche... below center?
They're not mounted on the car yet. I still need to make the bells (I really must get on to that ). But here is an old photo of a mock-up using the correct carriers, but with the original S2 disc.
Excuse the condition of the spare wheel. It will be refurbished. And I know, I'm not sure about the yellow colour either, but that was the only option when I bought them.
You can kind of see that the centre line is just below the top piston, if that makes sense?
Clearance is pretty tight with a 350mm disc on a 17" wheel.

Can you go so big as 350mm?
It will be a tight fitt with my 330mm, and i have Cup 1 18"/8,5"
Pic with the caliper on the oem 322mm disk... quite tight
The 330mm is also 8mm closer to the rim so i may have to space the rim out a bit to clear the caliper.
Not the best rims for big discs
My wheels are 5x112 Cup replicas, and there is a surprising amount of room behind them. 323mm discs were lost in there, so I knew much bigger discs were possible.
IIRC that photo was taken with the caliper carrier needing 5mm taking off, so the caliper spacing there is actually suitable for a 360mm disc. The wheel is spaced off the hub there, to give me an idea of what size disc I can fit. You can see if the caliper is moved 5mm inwards a 350mm disc will fit... Just!
Sorry if we're moving off topic. Nice project BTW.
@ stu - was that a brand new set of callipers, they look mint.
@ smiler - keep the pics coming, really enjoying reading this. Did you do any work inside the arches like clean them up and spray them or was that just how they come from the factory

Just sprayed undercoatsealer in the wheelarches and under the body.
Just for the clean look during assembly
Had a little surface rust in the wheel arches. Nothing serious
