largely stockpiling at the moment (and eating into my ever shrinking budget!) - really have to cut back on spending soon! lol
- clear front and side indicators
- LED lights for dash to replace broken ones
- indicator lights (have orange enamel to paint the bulbs - didnt fancy upgrading to B4 offset pin housings)
- 10cm alpines for dash
- 16.5cm rear alpines for parcel shelf
- sub for boot (have a fli enclosure with a pierced cone in the loft so will replace it)
- 1.8 T badge from Audi
And of course, the refurbished Ronal alloy back from Pristine, and I have to say, they have done an amazing job... if you have wheels that need redoing, dont hesitate to use them, 3 day turnaround, perfect alloy back, weighted and ready to go into the boot as a spare.
Also went down over to Auto Style in Milton Keynes - really cool Dutch husband and wife team run the place, we talked through my options and I have black thick pile black mats being made, with grey leatherette trimmed edges (to match headlining and trim plastics) with embroidered 1.8T logos coming... 5 days turnaround, £60 - looking forward to seeing them.
I think this will come to a grinding halt soon as the passat needs to go up to Bahnstorm for stripping. might be a week before any major progress, but hoping to have a fully working car back before xmas.Comment

@ Fat - no mate, the others are all perfect as they were done by pristine about 6 months before I got the car, they are just dirty!
Will be taking more pics this week, just going to go round and clean all shuts, hinges and rubbers (weather permitting)Comment

Whoops!
Nice. I can highly recommend gummi-pfledge to rejuvenate the rubbers:

scrubbing...
weather has been against me, plus, just got back into training and got a little banged up so my neck is really sore and I couldnt lift my arms above my head! lol
anyway, this update is mainly about shopping, scrubbing and cursing the previous owner...
Started off by digging my old sub out of the loft, it got punctured in a car accident a few years ago, and being as I am not after a big ice install (just a small nice sounding one that I can remove the sub from when I need to) this fit the bill, I dropped the JBL sub I bought from Halfords into it and voila - looks better IMO
New integrated headunit with ipod control and parrot via bluetooth - very impressed for £150, will be living in a box till after the conversion though :-(
Also got some funky metal pressed plates, they look the nuts, retro but modern if you catch my drift, again, when the car is back and the paintwork sorted I will mount these. Not bad for £26 delivered!
OK, previous owner cursing time... obviously they had an install at some point and botched it back to stock when they sold it, crap wiring, dodgy connections, old speakers and broken plastic surrounds on the passenger side. Not amused! I connected bullets, new cable connectors, and installed the alpine 10cm jobbies.
Dont even get me started on the bluetack holding the pillars on...
Scrubbing next using Autoglym Intensive Tar remover, Fast Glass, Gunk and my personal favourite: schwarfegger oil & grease wipes, they went from this:
To this (over the course of two hours of graft)
Then some Autoglym bumper car - I am amazed at the difference...
For now at least, she is looking cleaner, I think she looks much sweeter than the name my wife has christened her with: Bertha :nono:
