What about using the original tank for the use of E85 ethanol? Seems that some plastic tanks starting to swell and leak steam and the plastic get's soft/non-stiff. Do you have experience of this plastic quattro tank? Any plastic specialist?

This has gone 25000 Kilometers / 15534 Miles

                -update-

                -
Found a complete linkage to the DSY box. Also grabbed an RS2 rear diff! Har been working alot with the buchings and sub-frames. The little linkarm in the rear, the bolt throught the subframe is the most hell I've been throught... DAMN SURE!!!

TEASER! Washed off and I will clean it inside and time for some lacquer!

In the waiting of the linkage to the DSY box and the RS2 rear diff, I also ordered the cast RS2 linkarms! Also cleaned to engineroom little and coldgalvanized some.

Burning the buschings in the rear linkarms

                  Cleaned the tank little...

Will be like new one's after blasting

Damn for a hard steel, seated like it's welded onto the subframe... seems ridiculous maybe but I'm serious on this...

those bolts are all seized up on every car. you need a new track rod anyway.

you need to cut away the bolt head, and cut the bolt near the bush. there is no way to lossat dessa

the bolt is rusted solid with the bush inner sleeve, so adjusting the track is impossible.

so you need to cut the bolts head and then cut here:

                      using a saw like this:

One of mine was seized. A socket from was still stuck on the nut when my shell arrived from Germany. Evidence that the guy I bought it from tried and said forget it.

I did exactly what skull says to do. Saw it into.

Yep, mine was the same. Once off I replaced with a new track rod and critically fitted Bambridge bushes so that it will never happen again

Mine was the same, used an air hawsaw a number of times on the bolt/rod end, like the electric saw in Skull's post. Still fought me every step of the way with the subframe still on the car.

                            Copper grease the new bits.

Really enjoying the thread. You are doing the work of a saint.

                            Best wishes.

Yeah, that was the first idea but I did not have any tigersaw. It's definately the best solution for this DAMN bolt...

"Nice" to hear that all of you had the same problems. I felt helpless without the proper saw I needed and was totally mad

Now after, I saw that Jamo had a thread just about this bolt

                              http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46551

Hoping for the linkage, blastered things, RS2 diff and RS2 linkarms to arrive soon! Will also order alu bushings for front and rear subframe:

I also thinking about what thermostat to use. The 65 degree or 80 degree. Quite aggressive driving but as said, with this engine I will make much power with low boost.
