sorry for The late updates but work has been bizzy. well got a few hours tonight down the workshop.

Slowly getting the cage together.

The cage sits on a turret. so can remove it and the cage will drop Down 100mm and can tig up around the top for the rear hoop, and have cut holes on.the front floor so i can.do the top of the roof bar and roof X

What was the cage originally designed for? From the angles it looks a lot like an Evo 6 cage?

Hello all

first of all i will say sorry that i have not been on and updated this, life has been manic, at one point i thort i was going to have to sell up but all is sorted now so i can carry on,

Work has been mad so not really had a chance to tinker with the audi untill tonight, got a few hours in untill the next customers car arives,

the cage is going really well, got a few more bits profiled tonight and trcked in, hopping to have all the pipe work finished for thursday night (as only have about 4 more parts to fit) then it is tigging time,

Looking really good. I cant wait to see this complete. I was talking about this car to a guy called Kenny Brown up here who builds race/rally cars and was setting up my 90 and trying to get me to chop the strut towers out and change them for more castor etc.

Did i miss what you do as a day job?

Thank you Martin. yep i am slowley getting there with it.

i was not going to do the turrets at first but see a few videos of cars with and without the Castro mods and sold me. had to be done.

i work during The day for a heavy marine engineering company and evening i build race cars.

Well quick change of plan. does not look like the cage will be finished this week.

Broke a few toes. can't get any thing on my foot at the mo.

Foot is getting better so had a few hours down the shop today.

Got all the rear profiled and tack fitted today.

Just got roof X to do and dash bar to finish off.

then it is welding time.

How did you profile the tube ends? Have you got a tube notcher?
