Er yeah it was a bit dodgy in your road there, cars parked all down both sides and then someone pulled out of a driveway, also there was a load of stuff clanking about in the back and a 7A flywheel in a plastic bag right next to that lovely pristine S8 wheel! Discretion seemed the better part of valour!Leave a comment:

Very timely, your not wrong there John.Yesterday what happened? I thought your were going to give at least a little loud peddle for Oliver. He likes a 5CYL roar.
Seriously he does
Still sounded nice though.

Ha,i'll take sunshine and 14C,it's bloody cold here and been raining cats and dogs most of the day.Well they were NOT showing up. Had the same issue this AM on IrishS2s S2 avant refurb thread. Both on IE9 and Firefox. 10 minutes later, everything is fine (for now).
And as for snow, I guess you don't know much about Vancouver BC or Canada's size and diversity. While the east coast and Ontario and Quebec have been pummelled with snow this winter, in Vancouver we have green grass (snowed once this winter), the daffodills and crocuses are up, some cherry and plum trees are in bloom and it was clear blue sunny skies and 14C here yesterday.
Eh Prof, How much a 3 bed detached house over there?!

Still hoping for hatch spoiler photos because I have never seen a C4 hatch spoiler without a third brake light.
Thanks for PMing me the PN of the spoiler. 4A9827933D. It is a spoiler for an UrS4 avant with no third brake light. - I did not know that such a thing existed.
So know I have learned that the UrS4 avant hatches came in three varieties:
1. The non-spoiler hatch with no provision for a spoiler: 4A9827023AA (this is mine on my 94 S4 V8 avant)
2. A spoiler hatch 4A9827023T, with non-third brake light spoiler, 4A9827933D, up to VIN PN 018000. This is yours, definitely for the red 92 avant and I am therefore guessing the VIN of the grey 93 avant is << PN 018000.
3. A spoiler hatch 4A9827023T (same as 2 above) but with third brake light spoiler, 4A9827933E (which is also the C4 A6/UrS6 and S6plus spoiler) , after VIN PN 018001.
Thanks. (can't wait for the photos)

Managed to remove the old fuel lines, literally fell apart once I started moving them, bought some 7.5 meter 8mm fuel hose and some fuel line clips, but didn't get it fitted because it started raining.
Got all day Tuesday off, so will crack on with it then. Otherwise underbody is pretty straight apart from some surface rust, but nothing serious.Leave a comment:

You can replace the fuel lines with rubber or cunifer on axle stands just fine, will save you some money, especially if you just want to get it running/in for an MOT to see what the car is like.Leave a comment:

I guess I could replace them with rubber ones for now so I can run it and MOT it.Leave a comment:

It is doable to replace (a piece of) the fuel line without a post lift. BTDT with one of my cars.Leave a comment:

So this thing was connected to aftermarket relay. The green/brown wire is now loose, don't know where it should be connected. Any help appreciated.

I got the starter motor to crank by putting 12v straight to it, so it's not getting a 12v signal from the ignition. Does anyone know which wire goes to starter motor?
One of the fuel lines are leaking badly
Might tow it to the local garage to get that done as it's hard to do on the ground
