What are the plans for the old red one then??

Both cars look great, although I understand there are teething issues with the red one.

    Keeping both??

Get it started, MOT'd, taxed and enjoy it Refurbish all calipers, new pads, possibly discs. refurbish wheels(if I decide to keep them).

Won't be broken 110%. It is too good to break. This looks like standard A100 tailgate, with S4 spoiler bolted on.

Yours (I am curious to see the PN on it, if you can find it):

C4 S6 came with spoiler with 3rd light. S4's came with spoiler without third light. I'll ask my dad to check the PN on my spoiler I had on the red one

Anyway, nice purchase. I am interested in the details (if any) on the add-on (non-stock) hatch spoiler.

As it's an aftermarket unit just find the control unit and reinstate the original wiring, sorted !
I will get to it on Sunday, hope it doesn't take long to get it revving.

And by "none" I mean NONE. Not just this recent post. ALL your posts. Ever.

So I got myself a new toy 195 000 miles, with FSH, 6 speed manual (obviously) It's 1993 comes with carbon trim, pre-select steel sunroof and from strut brace Rear shocks look Koni yellows Suspension is as solid as it gets really.

Problem I have is, it doesn't start. Immobilizer has packed up, it's been ripped out but still isn't working. Owner says the fuel pump runs when ignition is turned on, but when you try to start it, starter motor isn't engaging. This is how the immobilizer "key" looks like.

Maybe someone knows how these work, and where could I start with trying to get it revving?

First I want to see if starter motor is getting 12v, and signal from ignition.

I have attempted to explain this to the OP in this thread before and have posted the sketch below before, trying to explain why going a little faster needs more and more horsepower and why the rate acceleration decreases with increasing speed.

Maybe with your comments, it will start to sink in.

To make power you need fuel and air, so in higher gears when the car is really moving you need to consume a lot more fuel and air. In lower gears you do not have the drag acting on the car because you are not moving as fast, so you accelerate quickly, so if you had a fuel starvation problem it is more likely to show up at WOT in a high gear where fuel is being thrown into the engine for longer periods of time. If you have a week fuel pump you would likely see this occurring.

    Hope that makes sense.
Spark plugs are quite black so I think it's running rich rather than lean (doing 50 mile ish drive in a minute, I'll check then again) What I will do, is check if there are any restrictions in air system, maybe IC is blocked?
