As above, I would be tempted to fit a known good coil in.

Why not, for now, solder in a known good coil?

I know, I would've done it in summer anyways, so it's just brought forwards a bit.

Also, TPS is bad. At WOT it should be 3600ohm across pin 2 and 3, but it goes upto 1900ohms and then nothing(infinity) so that would explain why it won't go past 4k on motorway. Luckily I have several TPS senors from my old V6, so no spendings there.

    Just 5th one, not all.

When idling, it works occasionally, but once it's under load it doesn't work at all. Came out the corner, accelerated, worked for a bit and then felt it give up.

That time has come, coils have given up on me. Swapped out POS for working ones, nothing, checked injectors, they're all good.

So obvious route is TFSI/FSI coil conversion, already bought the harness so just coils left.

Not sure if I should be happy or sad.

Came across shell bearings at a really good price on ebay (item number: 271136024473 and 271178759709)? Any good?

Just had one of those moments I thought about stuff I've done to already to make it like I want it, it would be shame to just sell it. Might need to drive less, might need to say no to some things, but I'll get there eventually.

When I was writing off my A100 for this, I didn't have that "I'm doing the wrong thing" feeling, but for this one, that "I'm doing the wrong thing" feeling was there, I mean in my face going "You're an idiot!"

We'll see if I made the right choice or not i guess.

Well, it was 3 degrees C outside, and it showed 6 degrees C for coolant, pretty close...or not close enough?
