Got the harness today and I must say that is a very nice pice of wiring.

So hooked it all up and she runs like a dream seem to run smoother, and boosts better too now. Seeing 2 bar most of the time when pushing it.

But I have a question, there is like rubber grommet at the top of the coil, do I remove it, or leave it on?

Must be nice to live in a country where there is no crime or fraud. You are so lucky.

Written off cars get broken in parts.

No I don't, but not everything second hand is bad, and not everyone can afford to buy new straight away. If any of them will be faulty, then I'll send it back, get a refund, and buy a new one.

Sorry but that was a bad idea. You have NO idea whether those coilpacks are good, weak or failed just by looking at them. You might get lucky but if you are trying to solve a problem, using unknown/used coils, it is a bad idea.

The whole coilpack conversion that I started in 2005 was meant to be an alternative to the OE POS/coil system. The little coilpacks are NOT better than brand new OE POSs and coils. However, with new coilpacks, the conversion is better than an OE system with issues (failing POS channels and/or coils).

    Good luck.

I don't know if I'm honest. Those who swapped from fully functional standard coils to these says car drives better, can't say as I haven't driven a car with these coils.

Well, I bought coils from Norbitron on here for 115EUR (145EUR with express delivery) and because money is tight at the moment, I got 5 second hand coils for £45 off ebay (new ones are £120), so I got through much cheaper than £300.

Car is at 180+k atm, so if one goes, there is a chance rest will too sooner or later. And I would've done it in summer anyways, so not that big of a deal. Still need to pay for the other coil.
