25.97" vs 24.86", i.e. about 0.56 inches closer to the bottom of the spring perch.

But you said you don't want 18's because of the ride quality.

Well, if I can get thicker tyres on 18" I don't mind keeping them, 225/45 would be only 1 cm lower than original ones.

The worst thing about bigger diameter tyres is it hits the acceleration, it's amazing how much slower it makes the car feel, of couse wheel weight affects things too.

If you are saying the side wall will be shorter, then I agree.

How much does a full respray cost ( same color)? I've been thinking, I need to respray the roof, both wings and part of rear wing. Paint job is original, so color won't be the same, so, as I have to respray all that, might as well do full respray. Any thoughts?

                Cheers

If you want a decent paint job it won't exactly be cheap.

TBH if i were you i'd sell it on and then buy this http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70813

I didn't say anything about cheap.

And no, I am fine with my S4, and never liked C4 S6's Insurance is more expensive too.

A lot will depend on how good job you want. As a guide you'd need to budget £2 - £3k for a decent job. You could get cheaper but the prep work will suffer (so the finish will too), you can go dearer and have a show winner.

Bear in mind too, that if your paint is mint, when you go to refit door rubbers etc you may decide that they let the paint down and want to renew them too, so you may need to budget that in too.

I was thinking about £2500. The only reason I'm thinking about full respray is because I am worried that if I do all the panels the color won't match and I have to do the whole thing anyways.

I would agree, it's hard to match old red paint as it will have faded, plus, if it's original paint you'll be at it flat out polishing it to keep it from going pink. Even if it's a decent match now, a year or 2 down the line it may stick out more if the original fades. £2500 is probably a reasonable estimate.

When it gets closer I can just go visit some body shops and have a chat what they think. My A100 have had a respray, maybe they can match colour better.

Surely it is much cheaper to let it respray in your home country, isn't that an option?
