What is this in the boot on the passenger side?

I will swap boot lid from my A100 but it is bolted, whereas on S4 it's on rivets? How do I get them open, any suggestions?

That's what I thought, but I also checked the OE number on the vacuum pump, and checked it against urS4boy research on the central pumps (4A0862257B = pump with control module) and I don't have an alarm, or I am getting something wrong here?

Pretty sure that is the 8D5951113 anti-theft alarm horn, Item 5:

But does that mean I have different central pump? Because I don't have a remote and as I said, according to the OE number, mine doesn't have a fancy pump (4A0862257B = pump with control module)

Can't help with your central locking issue. I can guess that if you don't have the central locking with alarm, you do have the alarm horn, perhaps because Audi thought it was easier to install these in every C4 as the rolled down the Neckarsulm assembly line than try to get it right with the various central locking system options.

Here is the wiring diagram that confirms the wiring colours, i.e. Blk/Yellow (to the Central Locking module at Pin T6ae/4) and brown (ground/earth).

According to VIN my A100 is put together in Neckarsulm, but 2 years later though. Most of the trim will be coming off anyways, I will track the wiring down :mischeif: I do have a weird relay wired in foot well relay panel...it's not even Audi's

I was wondering, would Audi have any information about stuff car had all those years ago?

If you can find the label in the boot it has all the options codes on it, search for an options code decoder on google and all should be revealed

Did some scrubing today, it all surface crust so happy days.

Removed the rear lights to check for rust, as I know on my A100 it is quite rusty there, and this wasn't an exemption, not as bad though.

I think I know how many times rear light had been taken out

Also got the tyres fitted. Decided to use the old one's for now, still have some meat on them. Now they are all packed away waiting to go on S4 once insurance is sorted

Quite a long options list (is it?) but I found some decoder, and by the looks of it he had many sets of wheels that are 18" and 19" which I think isn't right.

Nice work, but I found when removing paint on my own projects, I often found rust where there was no sign of it through the paint. Best to take it all back rather than just the bubbling areas.

Thanks, nothing exciting, as I have very very limited funds and it will be slow progress. Thanks for heads up mate, I am trying to be very careful, removing all the sound proofing etc. to check for rust.

Non-servontronic steering means that the power steering is conventional, not speed sensitive:

"Our UrS-cars came from the factory equipped with a ZF steering rack with speed-variable assist. This system is called "Servotronic". The intent was to provide significant steering assist, aka "power steering" at low speeds but less and less assist as speeds increased. The amount of the assist is controlled by the Servotronic Control Module. Some people don't like it and disconnect Servontronic, either at the steering rack connector or by removing the relay."

Well at least we have another data point in April, i.e. NN123942 was before the factory addition of the front strut tower brace (bar). From the first page of this thread:

"Our UrS-cars came from the factory equipped with a ZF steering rack with speed-variable assist. This system is called "Servotronic". The intent was to provide significant steering assist, aka "power steering" at low speeds but less and less assist as speeds increased. The amount of the assist is controlled by the Servotronic Control Module. Some people don't like it and disconnect Servontronic, either at the steering rack connector or by removing the relay."
