About 7 months ago i asked a question and Alex Error 404 emailed me in answer to a question and said "seek and you shall find"...........Special Boleros do exist. Its all about the material they are made out of. would love to have special Magnesium wheels made to my speck would be my preference but i aint a millionaire. It's nice to dream though.

Seem to be getting harder to get though, one of my fronts is buckled after hitting a pot hole and I've been searching for a replacement for ages
Very nice A6 there! You should put pictures of it in this thread. Its rarer than an S6!

As I can't afford to buy new premuim tyres, i am looking at getting second hand ones, but would ypu go second hand premuim rubber, or new budget (nankang, nexen)?

Finally passed MOT ... not without headache though

First time round I failed, both brake hoses were shot (I sort of knew that) and couple of bulbs were gone. In advisories ball joint has some play and anti roll bar bushes are a bit worn, also rust was worth mentioning (they never owned 20 year old Audi)

Connection was so rusted, that I had to change all the piping as well

At the same time doing wiring for speakers/amp/sub

I swapped over the boot lid, but it won't sit nicely Hinges are exactly the same, only difference is that there is no spoiler

It sits a tiny bit lower than roof

And it won't move any closer than this

Just had a look at the hatch fitment on my non-spoiler 1994 S4 V8 avant and it is very much the same. The gap is about the same and the "drop" is only a tad bit less than yours.

Apart from trying to find where my boost is disappearing , or why I am getting engine noise in speakers (sorted now ) or where the knocking noise comes from the front suspension, I did the headlining and because I am an idiot, I was chasing for set of Boleros (ended up buying 7" one's from Quattro sport).

I am not happy about the headlining. I did mock it up So that will be done again (not straight away tho) I am considering suede like material.

                  Don't have "finished product" photo

                  Did a quick respray

I was pretty sure they'll fit with 5mm spacers...but of course they didn't. So I need to buy bigger spacers for the front (probably 20mm) and because they are 7" not 8" 15mm for the rear.

Your top mounts are likely worn or the metal furrel in the middle of the rubber has separated from the rubber. Can be replaced from the top without removing the strut or having the wheel off the ground (BTDT).

One of the mounts are gone, just haven't got round it to change it. But I think there is something up with pads, cos noise appears when I am braking

Have to remove one of the calipers anyways, one of the cv boot split and there is grease everywhere

Well, you will *WISH* that you had changed it when a strange new bump appears in the bonnet above the strut tower.

(If you leave it long enough and hit a nasty bump, you can drive the top of the strut insert right out of the mount and into the bottom of the bonnet.)

Takes literally 10 minutes or less to change.

Received these bad boys today, I was quite surprised that it all went smooth (usually things don't fit for me)

                            Fitted at the front

Tried these 20mm at the rear, just a bit too wide, will be getting 15mm one's

I like boleros a lot, looks awesome.

Also sprayed the grill with some lacquer over the top.

It's hard to see in the picture, but it does sit out of the arch a tiny bit which doesn't look good and bigger bump and it could damage the tyre.
