and there's no negative(s) with getting this upgrade? ie will the car still run smoothly etc?

It will place more stress on everything, tired boos hoses etc will split, old coils etc may not work at higher boost.

But if the car is in good working order then it is just better, smoother, faster, slighty better mpg when being sensible, more torque is amazing for normal driving.

Its the best bang for buck mod you can do 280ish bhp for less than £200.

Does anyone know a place that would recondition alternators? Mine is making like a grinding noise, i suspect bushes are bad, but it charges very well.

In all serious though, a low mileage one can also have rubber components that require replaced due to age.

Can you tell which cylinder by just unplugging, and see what one makes no difference and thats the cylinder.

Then check/swap coils, check plug, POS, injectors etc.

it's definitely more than 1 cylinder that's dead. So my bet is one of them power output stages or whatever you call it.

It barely runs on idle.
