  • I'm keen to see what it's capable of down a drag strip, I'm guessing it's going to be around 10 seconds assuming he can get the power down, it's certainly got the right power to weight ratio to be in that sort area time wise.

This is one of the most impressive projects I've seen, well worth the wait and all the chaps time and effort.

Not a car for use in the snow and ice however.

    • Thanks! Its not really setup very well as a drag car, too heavy at the rear so I suspect on a sticky surface it would want to wheelie. Its more of a track/fast road car. Suspect between the gears it will be fast… once fully mapped. As you said, its not going out on the roads in this icy weather.. maybe if it snows properly i could take it out for some fun ?

      • I think I'd have to at least have a go down a drag strip just to see what the car can manage while retaining control, has it got a luggage compartment at the front at all? If so whack a couple of bags of cement in there, it won't help that much at this sort of power level but will reduce it's tendency to go light on the front and help you keep control.

The power to weight ratio is pretty crazy so as you say it'll be at it's best once underway, launching the thing is going to be tricky.

As tempting as it is I don't think I'd risk taking it out to play in the snow unless you've got access to a really big yard with nothing to hit, in which case it could be a lot of fun.. Still given the effort you've put into the car I think I'd leave it tucked up safe.
