Worth it if only to get rid of the huge bump steer the OEM setup has

why this steering modification?
to make more room for the downpipe?
or to run less revs with the steering wheel because of the shorter arms on the struts?

I dont like the orginal, it is not very stable and indirectly.
I bend the right arm to get my big downpipe in, this wos not the best solution and the bump steer wos also not the best...

First Test Drive wos very good, love the Steering. With the bigger Housing it comes little later, so i have to adjust bit more Timing. But first i have to adjust the Axes and waiting for better Weather.

Some updates. I had to much castor ~12°, so i go little forward with the damper.
also i have some heat problem and i ned a heat protection for the turbo
Next problem i found out that my selfmade air cooler lost air, so i make a new with a cheap net. But it work fine.

And i changed the mounting from the stabilizer bar. Don't like the oem on the shock absorber, who is always turn left and right and change the preload from the stabilizer bar.

How did you remove the damper insert from the KW tube before you welded new steering arms?
I am considering adjusting mine to dial out bump steer.

There is a nut on top of the damper. It's easy to remove

You can also change the height at the steering like this. For a better parallelism with the wishbone.

Thanks. I will have a look next time the dampers are off the car.
Yes I have done that too to try to correct the angles, but best to have shorter tie rods like your setup

Started to make a bigger Oil pan. Not the most beautiful but should Work fine😊.
Space for 7l Oil. So with the Filter and cooler it should be 8.5l
Time to get ready for the next Trackday 29-30 march at Panoniaring

Would an oversized oil cooler with a thermostat not given you the desired increase in oil capacity without as much effort, albeit more cost ?

And also an oversized oil filter.

The reason for a sump like this is to prevent oil starvation i think.
