I don't think there is a thread but I think I know who is building it, and if so it will be epic

Where's your build thread? Come on now we all need to see pictures! How do we know you're not telling fibs and pinching pics off Google?? :/Leave a comment:

Bet your very excited. Mine has taken over a year to get sorted (think id have struggled to wait this long for a Zonda LOL) but thankfully its all sorted now and will be fired up in the next couple of days. Am glad the weather is so mild as I will be driving it to work just to put as many miles on as possible before power mapping in new year.Leave a comment:

Yes I didn't mean to imply custom flywheel was necessary just what was installed on my car. As for modifying the mounts it's an unnecessary expense. You'd think with the money I've spent so far, what's the difference but you've got to draw the line somewhere. If I chased every little extra detail I'd end up spending over £100k
Half an inch is cool with me.

Standard mounts have ~15mm of adjustment - just push the engine & box back as far as it will go. Removing the /DM flywheel gearbox spacer gives you more room to move. Custom flywheel is not necessary - 7A or 3B SM units are easy to get hold and cheap.
FWIW you could go back another ~20mm with custom / modified engine and gearbox mounts before you run into major clearance issues.Leave a comment:

Gearbox spacer is removed then yes, custom billet flywheel. Engine is then forced back as far back as it will go on the mounts. Just had William re-explain it to me, I'm no mechanic either!Leave a comment:

Excuse my ignorance (I'm very much not a mechanic)...how do you mount the engine further back? Shallower flywheel?Leave a comment:
