If you get the Pro-M unit, then yes, that is meant for pressure side. 3" tube:

The "up to 400 hp" MAF will fit in the stock location.

Second, if you go smaller, the RS4 sensor will not read enough. If you go bigger, then it won't be accurate enough for low load and idle. It's on the very limit on 2.2T displacement already. Sticking it into an even bigger housing the car most likely will be all over the place on low load.
I am making a plug and play solution. If you want a custom solution, it is different. The price is also different and it should not be discussed here, as it has not much to do with the topic at hand.

No, I am asking because as far I can tell Pro-M sells something very specific/custom? Is this element the RS4 one?
If I would go that route I would prefer because of turbo/install to use the pressure side and then an element that is readily available everywhere.Go Holset or Go RS4

The RS4 element can not read enough in a 3" tube. That will maybe be enough for 400hp, if not less!
The reason I am using the Pro-M is because it's enough for roughly 1200 hp in that 3" tube.

Anyway, I have the final measurements of the unit.
It will be an aluminum box and the external size will be 31mm x 55.5 mm x 41 mm.

But this is completely off topic. I don't understand why you are writing about it here.
I am developing a product. A converter box and a solution to replace the OEM MAF.
I have stated there will be a bolt on solution for sub 400hp and a more involved solution for over 400hp.
This is final, decided, over.
So frankly, if you want, you can even put your MAF anywhere you like and use any solution you like. You can also make a thread to talk about if you like, but please keep this on topic and stop asking questions in this thread that have nothing to do with the subject at hand!

We will see about that.
The first prototype will be ready next week.

It costs 300$+ for that MAF.
Unless you want to buy it...
Honestly, I don't want to make experiments on customer cars.
You already have everything for the RS4 MAF, and that is tried and tested so that is what we will be going with.
Once I test the Pro-M on some cars and the MAF converter, then that is what I will be using, but it is really not my style to make experiments on 2000+ EUR engines of other people. I use what 100% works with a good result, as that is what is most important and most safe.
