finally got my alternator sorted out, ended up being nothing more than the post that the blue wire hooks into being twisted when i removed it from the car destroying the wire soldered on the end of it!!!

Slip rings were changed along with the bearings being re-greased everything given the once over and cleaned up

Interestingly, I thought the unit was a 115amp as i have aircon, however the guy confirmed that it was a 90amp version!?!?!

Just to confirm with the uprated voltage regulator on the jig it was showing a 14.7v whilst the old standard reg was 14.2.

Attached a pic of the old and new regulator...

So the 15v reg will fit to all S2 alternators? and where did people buy them from as woodauto only sell to account holders?

I filled out the details, chose a password.... it took me to the payment screen, it did look like you needed to have a password prior to filling out, but I ignored it and it was ok.....

Is that so you can run some phat subs and 500W of neon under the car?

This looks like a good mod, my battery isn't getting enough charge on it's short, infrequent runs so I'm guessing this would increase the rate of charge? Also think I have a drain somewhere but I'll tackle that when I get my hands on a multimeter...
