Well the main reason is the afterrun fan kicks in after any journey where the coolant gets to 90c temp which is near any journey now as the aux rad has been removed

I haven't had it done yet, I had a quote ages ago from a Company Bibby used called CPS in Telford. It was £75 but I put it on hold as I switched cars.

I need to revisit and check they still can do it

Right the VR for the ABY and RS2 is VRG46402 and for the 3B it's VRG4641

I need to find the corresponding 3b 15 volt VRG46410 for the RS2 / ABY

Will a 15v regulator cause other issues, maybe like bulbs blowing, etc?

Just wondering before I fit mine.....

It certainly will. For a standard car bulb a 10% increase in voltage causes a 100% increase in light output and a 90% decrease in life expectancy! BTW for HIDs it will make no difference whatsoever.

Your low maintenance battery isn't going to be too keen on it either.

It may have been covered in other threads but I can't see any good reason for going to a 15 volt regulator other than to squeeze a little more out of the fuel pump in a highly modified car needing that extra fuel pressure. For most of us, it's just going to cause more trouble than it's worth.

I have NOT any prob with the high volt issues; like blowing bulbs.... have done the hi volt tracks for years.... are you not shure, how high you can go: measure the acidwight in the bat...( some bat have some hidden propps under some tape) USE safety goggles, and gloves....the acid weight should bee at 1,275 or 1,280= full charge of batteri if you have the 1,21-1,24 its half charget batteri

@caterpillar, I know you're keen on 15 volts but why? It's just likely to cause more problems than it's worth?

If it was worth it, all the car makers would use it.
