  • Urgent! Need one of these fast!! Crank torsional vibration damper.on front of engine

    Hey guys the plate on the front of the crank pulley has come away and hit my intercooler.

    Im in need of a new one or modified one asap.
    Also possibly a new or second hand intercooler for an aby. Or a modified one i dont mind.

    Any help or links would be appreciated, cars stuck here now.. ahhh!! Had travell far to do cambelt.

          Yeah not a cheap part to replace and its also part of the balancing for the bottom end i believe. Have a read about them on https://fluidampr.com/ and also worth having a look at https://www.s2forum.com/forum/member...i5#post2088391

                    Been busy this week, lots of hurdles. Now the tensioner bolt sheared before it was even 20mn.. :/ gotta source 4 bolts now, as i want piece of mind now after that happening.

                      Anyone know the tensile strength of these bolts? Or are they standard bolts? It is for the cambelt change.

                        What I am trying to find out is are these standard bolts? Or specially strong because its part of the cambelt setup?

                          Go 10.9 as it broke. It was probably 8.8 and overtightend previously.
                          By the way, I don't like to the look of the key on your bottom pulley. I can't see so well in your pic but if there is any doubt at all there I would change it for one of Chef's. If this fails it's a big job! Doing that as we speak.

                            Search on google shows OE was 10.9
