Although I still put mine back to 3B for now until the car runs, just in case I run in to a fault somewhere.
The 55 pin connectors ended up being easy to get hold of, so I almost decided to make a kind of breakout box to convert from 3B to ABY, so it could easily be swapped back, but swapping pins is easy enough with the right tools and technique.

I got the terminal pins and extra cable from good old VWP.

+1 was looking at the 034 website as someone had posted on upgrading their original ABY coils to the 034 HO jobbies..

in the competition i did the conversion¡¡

but i started from a ABY loom... but it is much better use 2.5tfsi coils over the original from audi RS2... much better,much simple,much cheaper


pin swap is easy anyway.but you need a custom tool to do the job.

If you go down the route of 034MS high output coil kit.

Then all you need to is:

Swap pins in the 55pin ECU connector using Pauls Excel Sheet.

Add 5 wires for coils 1-5
Add 1 wire for VSS, I took mine from the instrument cluster.

Then you have the 034MS loom it needs:

+12V
0V (ground)
TTL needs to be grounded as well.
Trigger signal 1-5 from the ECU plug

You could just take +12V and 0V in the plug that goes to the 3B coil. This way it is fused as well. Even better if you could find the counterpart for the 3B coil plug then you could use that. Then just run all the wires in some snake skin.
