It will still idle fine with the LS2's on stock dwell map. The OEM coils are a lot closer to the LS2 coils than the 2.0 TFSi dwell characteristic wise.
But I think codes are not really needed if we can at least see a log from VEMS. On the log it should be clearly visible what the problem is!Leave a comment:

I think it should still idle fine, are the LS2 coils any different to 1.8T or the 2.0TFSI?Leave a comment:

Yes if the motronic is there even codes could be read. Would motronic idle with whatever coils are there? Cause I have never tried running mine with the ls2 coils without having any mods on the ecuLeave a comment:

Yeah it makes sense that it'd at least sputter a bit.
But who knows, maybe throttle is calibrated completely wrong, so it floods itself instantly for example.
Really in the dark here, we need logs / config, until then won't know what's causing it.
If the original harness is still in tact, an easy way to see if the problem is ECU related at all is to hook up the original ECU, even without the MAF (it's then in limp mode LOAD = RPMxThrottle position sensor * temp correction), and see if that runs it.
If this is a possibility it's at least something.Leave a comment:

Dmitri, as you see on the video it completely shuts off once throtle is pressed. I would expect if the map is that bad and the fuel amount too small to cough a bit before stalling. What do you think?Leave a comment:

I really don't like how someone comes to ask for help with a specific issue and it turns into a huge wiener wiggling contest, as Vas said.
Mods, where are you? Please clean this mess up if possible and leave only the posts that are dealing with the OP's problem...Leave a comment:

I wont continue on this. This is turning into who has the bigger d!!!ck thread and it lost its meaning.
