When pressure testing the whole system, is it normal for a small amount to sneak past the rings?

Was just thinking of another boost leak that could show itself only when running?

Ok. I'll give that a go too. If all else fails I can see a use for it on November the 5th. Lol

Not really. Or well, it depends how you put it.
In a tight car you can put say 1 bar in, come back after a minute or so and there will still be 0.5 bar or so in the intake.

Your AFR going from 10.9 to 12.5 means you fixed some massive boost leaks. It takes a lot of leakage to get that much more fuel. Essentially 20% of the air was leaking before.
If it's running 1.4 bar with 12.5-13 afr that means it's a bit lean really and if you hammer it, it gets very hot, starts knocking and then the ECU will pull timing.

I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but are you sure the map is good? Maybe try a different ECU with a different map on it and see if that cures your issue?

I had the red hot turbo issue on my 3b coupe with stock turbo set up. It turned out to be the TPS. changed it for a second hand one and it cured the issue.
Your exhaust symptoms could be caused buy vacuum leaks . I know you have done a boost leak test, but have you checked for vacuum leaks.
The other possibility is that if its been running badly for a while is that you may have killed the lambda. I hope you find the problem soon.

Hi, thanks for responding. I'm not stupid enough to realise I'm wrong. I spent all afternoon fixing leaks all over it!

And yes, the same thought crossed my mind, I ran this ecu on another car and it seemed fine but I'm still going to use its stock ecu first today to see how it is.

Presuming you disconnected the breather system at the MAF hose when pressure testing, you could still have a leak in one of the PCV pipes, this would allow extra air to be drawn in after the MAF.

Yes I pressured the system from turbo onwards. Not through the MAF hose.

Is 51 degrees too much for intake temp?

After running it from cold today it still runs exactly the same as with all the leaks. It appears in back to square one.
