why not just use the S2 pressure switches?

Having said that I noticed the low pressure switch for the digi climate is different to the normal AC one - I think it switches a higher current as the wiring to it is thicker.
Rich & John - did you just use the normal AC low pressure switch on your setup?

Brian, I think I might have 2 of those original clips for the dash trim surround
The screws in ETKA for it are the wrong size I also had to have a dig through the nut & bolt box to find something suitable

I've no doubt you will sus it mate.

Would you like me to send you all the diagrams or have you sorted those?

original low pressure switch yes no problems so far, they both only close the coil on the clutch relay anyway. current is minimal

I think both the original pressure switches will work with this system

I think the switch are separate but on a common connector T4c

Interestingly the climate control unit is not informed of a high pressure situation on this system, only the radiator fan is switched on at speed 2 and the automatic transmission is informed (if you have it)

having said that it may be informed by a return signal from a different controller engine/dash/auto box etc, more research needed

I think I have the diagrams required and S2Central's excel worksheet so when I get chance again I have Donnington to go to this weekend. After that I need to do some work on the cup car for the apexi show and then I will get this in the S2

Eventually got round to this now and Have all the original wiring diagrams for digital climate in a genuine LHD car. However the loom that I have RJScotty is wired completely different so think I am going to rewire as per the S2 diagram.

Odd how the motors appear to work in reverse

The temperature flap motor polarity needs to be reversed - the wiring diagram is incorrect as noted by Johne
Is your harness based on a B5 one? I started off with a Passat harness and adapted it to suit - there is a bit of work to do though as the control unit pin-out is slightly different.

Yes it was a silly idea as I had it all working on the desk.
I have wired it into the car. and the heater motor works and all the control flaps work as they should.

It's awkward starting off from where someone has already worked on the loom...
as I can't see where the wires went to originally. Even though they are labeled it make tracing the flow difficult...

I am working on the ro/bl wire 12v permanent live Do I use the original setup from the standard S2 for the fan relays?

Permanent live I took from F30al on the fuse board (it was easy as I had all the fuse board connectors disconnected.
I did have a manual AC loom but from memory it was totally different. IIRC the manual AC T5g green connector was wired differently as was the compressor relay, so I didn't use it and started from scratch and made a patch loom to connect to the climate box loom I already made out of the Passat one

Biggest trouble is the loom scotty used i think was from a Passat of which i don't have the schematic for and the colour codes are slightly different to the A4 diagrams.

My fresh air flap is working electrically as you would expect. Using the A4 servo motor.

I have a little fresh air motor but the feeds on the Diagram should come from A4 on the head unit yet there is no wiring for this?

Also I have been reading through every thread and just got myself completely confused regarding which version has what sensor and where.

My loom has A temp sensor that fits into the airbox near to the up and down direction flap.

It also has a sensor that says cabin sensor footwell.
and the wiring for the daylight sensor. however nothing that relates to a roof sensor?

Also the diagrams relate to a T10 red connector which I guess is not on any model...

The climate system you're using never used the roof sensor, it was only used on the early US one with vacuum control.

As I said in my post earlier in this thread, I don't recomend using the roof sensor position. You need to use a dashboard height sensor with the air drawn over it by that motor you bought off ebay for £15.

The footwell sensor was only used by the later controllers in A4s and Passats.

My B5 Passat based system also has a central vent temp sensor - you can see it hanging down by the brown T3 connector in this pic of my climate box/harness:

The T10e, T5o and T6q connectors are not present on a non-climate car. This is because there was two harnesses used for the climate system - first was the loom for the heater box, motors, sensors etc, and there was a patch loom that connected to the dash, fuse board, relay panel etc. T10e, T5o and T6q formed the connection between these to harnesses - this is what I have replicated with mine:
