      • That would be ~0.4mm deep, waiting for confirmation. The plate itself will be 2-3mm thick.

        • I think if its gona be coloured to have it red like this one from earlier in the thread. With the rings in silver/ bare metal.



          I may be tempted to take one unpainted so I can decide at a later date.

          • it would be all the recessed areas in red, which will be the lettering, the square surrounding the rings and the ring centres, Similar to the pic.

            possibly toying with stainless steel instead of aluminium, will chat the the manufacturers.

              • surely it needs to be stainless as ally with oxidise pretty quick?

                • alumunium shouldnt oxidise but it can get a bit dirty quickly. stainless would be easier to keep shiny.

                    • I HAVE A PROTOTYPE!!!! well...need to pick it up anyway.

                      Our 2D laser cutting sponsor has had a go and said it looks pretty good! I will be going to pick it up today or tomorrow so I will post some pics and see what you think!

                      fingers crossed we might be on to a winner!

                              Will, any machine shop with a VMC and Cad-Cam software, should be able to engrave them for you!!
