Sorry Robin, that was a typo, the part number is actually 22 not 33.
I've taken some pics and will post them a bit later but I've had a good look and everything seems to be fitted correctly
Drat!
Out of interest did you need to use spring compressors to fit them? From what I remember the H&R's are short enough to not need compressing to fit the mounts. Perhaps someone can confirm this.
Can't see the shocks having any thing to do with the ride height. It is the springs that determine that. Can't see them settling 50mm either!
It's certaintly a possibility that they have been mislabeled even if they have the "correct" part numbers on. You might have to remove them again so that you can examine them or compare them with the stock ones. They should be noticably shorter.
I think that the approval document lists the wire diameter and number of coils but I guess that would be difficult to establish on the car.
I didnt need to use spring compressors, though it was a bit fiddly because the shock tube keeps dropping back down.
Slackened the wishbones but they werent that tight anyway so they havent made a difference.
I've taken a couple of pics anyway
Your 225/35 tyres are moderate 7mm less in diameter than the std 215/50/15's and a whopping 31mm less diameter than cory's 235/40's, if your's are worn you can take a few more mill off that.
I can't help but notice your car is stripped out does it have have the engine/gearbox out as well can't quite tell from the photo, this will reduce the compression on the springs and the car will sit higher.
There is a couple hundred of pounds of interior missing too!
See if Corey can measure the free length of the spring he has. That way you can pull just one of for a comparsion. As you fitted them witout compressors it sounds like they are shorter than stock which is encouraging! Stick some of your mates in it to simulate the weight of the interior and see if the car drops.
The diameter of the tyres is the same as the originals. So apart from the optical illusion of the larger wheels/smaller sidewall height, the ride height should be 30mm less than standard.

Gives the following Diameters
215/50/15(STD) 596mm
225/35/17(yours) 589mm
235/40/17 (Corey) 620mm
225/50/15(Mine) 606mm
So I think I'm right in saying coreys wheel will stand (620-589)Diameter difference= (31mm/2)Radius difference= 15.5 mm closer to the wheel arch than your wheel tyre combo.
It will be interesting to compare the height of the H&R spring vs std spring to see how much shorter it is as I guess they have to allow for less sag when fitted to the car due to the increased stiffness(30% I think)
So if the spring are correct and fitted OK you might just need some fatter tyres or 18" rims to fill out those arches or custom springs from coil springs of sheffield (about £175 last time I asked). or find some big friends
