im having a mate that is working on spring rate atm. and no pieces ordered yet, so i have not calculated the spring lenght yet.

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

the steel threaded sleeve from compbrake starts to crode after a while and your adjustable set up is no longer adjustable . i have mine made in stainless steel not cheap but definetly better .

Yep I thought that would happen. I shall make sure it stays coated in plenty of copper grease to keep them from rusting.

ahh!!dont use copper grease, its too abbrasive for the threads..it will wear the threads after a few adjustments are made...use a very thick racing grease, its usually red or blue.i

The top mounts wont work not sure about the tube size., they will foul the body work. You need a 'coned' top. Bambridge used to make them, maybe Will at VRS can help or someone else will suggest something..

I read that someone in here is using those compbrake sleeves in Ur struts but I dont know what is ur strut outer dimension? S2 strut outer dimension is 55mm and compbrake specs says sleeves inner dimension is 54.22mm. So if sleeves fit, they are tight at least?

BTDT. The compbrake parts are **** quality.
even if they were good, it’s cheaper to buy KWs.

I have already seen DIY coilovers, Aaron styled thread and I have been also in contact with the A-1 racing. Good thread!

Can anyone say where I can find 55mm sleeves from Europe? I know only A-1 racing but shipping costs are pretty much..

Found some pictures of the struts I ghettto converted many years ago using Compbrake sleeves. I never followed it through since KW had just released the V1 Inox and once I added up the cost of damper inserts, springs, perches, helpers etc was cheaper to buy the KWs and have a much nicer item that won't rust.
