That's a much better solution, still not a lot of fun on the floor but at least that's safe and you haven't got to work around the legs on the hoist.
Loose spark plugs is really common as people simply torque new ones up once and forget them, a couple of heat cycles later the crush washer has been squashed by a couple of thou and the plugs are slightly loose. I always torque plugs up once then back them off and re-torque twice, this compacts the washer and they tend to stay tight.
