In what way are these balanced? Stock ones are used to externally ballance the engine so are these made to mirror the out of balance nature of the oem units?

Correct
Fluidampr's are designed as broad range frequency dampers. The variance comes when they are application specific. Once the 3B/7A & ABY units are dissected we will have a better idea of what needs to be done. The whole idea here is to have a "bolt in" solution for the I5.
What does that mean?
If you have zero balanced your internals - this will bolt right in
If you have not zero balanced your internals and want to just unbolt your oem damper and bolt this in - this will bolt right in.

I am going to start the deposit process tonight and will submit the order tomorrow with Fluidampr. Given the lead time , I am also going to be making an ARP stud & nut configuration which will be done by the time these are ready from Fluidampr. The nut and stud will also work on the OEM and will be additional. I am confident everyone who wants a Fluidampr will also want a nut and stud.

Will the front face of the damper be at same distance from the front of the engine as the stock AAN damper? Is it possible to fit an external belt pulley on it, like this: Klick!

The way I design fluidampr's , i always design them to have either a 70mm or 75mm drive ring diameter with 4/6 M8 threads evenly spaced to allow parasite drives (dry sump , external water sump or cogged set up for a supercharger).
