    One more.

    Thanks Breitling for those pics

Now i need to sort out the suspension on the car before the Nurburgring test in september.

This will be my setup (if not recomended otherwise):
    *alubushes in the subframe
    *Polybushes everywere else
    *Neuspeed RARB (*)
    *RS2 FARB (*)
    *034 rear spherical tierods
    *15mm spacers on rear (*)
    *25mm spacers on front
    *Promounts on front (*)
    *OEM on back (*)

    and the big question:

    Coilovers OR H&R cupkit?
    (*) = things I already have mounted

I really want the car lowerd all the way down, but that probobly f*ck up the geomitry of the control arms and performace, so maybe the H&R cup kit is the smartest way to go, but then i cant drop it all the way down..

anyone got tips or hints im always glad to hear

Hi anders, sounds like a good setup to me but you can never tell untill its all on the car.
as for the choice of coilover and cup kit then it really depends how much track stuff you are gonna do. i would love a coil over kit for my avant and after the brakes and exhaust then i hopefully will. but most of the kits i have seen have been non adjustable on the back. now i know that KW done a kit that was adjustable all round and if i remember it was a reasonable price. i now cant find that kit listed anywhere. i like the idea of being able to adjust height and rebound as i do nearly drive the car daily.

        Briggsy,

as Im starting to know myself a little better, I know that trackdays are a must as often time allows it, so a coiloverkit is very very tempting. but in order to make it work ideally, one would need to take the car to a suspension specialist and adjust it perfect there. on the other side, the cup kit comes finished tested and adjusted, and there is only the job getting it on (which isnt a big deal), and just go empty the revs on a local testrack. That is also very tempting..
I was so lucky to get a ride with a very nice s2 @ mantorp, and he had alu bushes in the subframe, kw v2 coilovers and powerflexx bushings, and actually the ride wasnt as bad as I imagined. It was very comfy, but tight. I liked it so much, so I think i infact are to copy that setup.

anyway, some parts are rolling in. still miss alot.
Soon Nurburgring meet, so I have to hurry a little

hi anders, just a couple of questions. apart from not having the adjustment on the back what is the difference between KW V2 and V3?
yours friends S2 sound pretty well developed, how does the handling compare to yours?

I belive the v3 has external chambers for the oil, and you can fine adjust the height, compression and rebound, rather than the v2 which you only can adjust height and return basically.

Im not sure how it is now, but i heard that KW now has adjustable on the rear too for the s/rs2 ?!

Surley we want adjustable all over

EDIT: his s2 handles MUCH better than mine! no question about it. but due to mine has every single bush in the front subframe worn, torn and in pieces, pluss some worn cv joints, i would say it even dosent handle like a 2cv does

Thanks Eriksson! Maybe we get to race one day?

Acidburn: I think its the subframe or the wheels that gets the most beating with that kind of setup
But changing all topmounts are probobly a good start though

                      Small update

I got a little to do before the nurburgring meet, so today i torn off the subframe to change all the bushes and cv joints.
God god, the cv joints did almost go apart when I lowerd the front subframe.. so those needed some urgent replacement..
Also going to build a new maf and inlettube in one 4" piece so I finally get rid of the stalling episode and minimize the boost leaks.
Also got a new IC on the way, so the x-member from Bo on here (cheers btw) will be installed before the meet and a new stainless steel tube from/to IC will be welded. NO MORE BOOSTLEAKS

                      New stuff to be mounted:

                      ..on this dirty dog:

                      ..from where it came:

                      and the maf/inlet tube housing:

                      cheers,

cant say other than that they are awesome. I really look foreward to test them out with the new suspesion setup, to see how much more 'feeling' they add to the driving experience.
Untill now they have worked excellent, and the only issue that I had, was just to re-tighten the locknuts on top.

                          Go for it jamo

hi anders, looks like you are busy. you are really gonna feel the difference in those solid sub frame mounts, and you are right you current mounts look screwed! those KW jon441cc put up look real nice, but im gonna have to get him to look for a set in the uk as i think you have to send them your suspension legs as an exchange.
have you ordered your KW V2 yet?

Yes i have a little something to get my days go by

Most of the bushes are finito, but the gearbox bushes is all good and new.
AS i got the 034 MS solid enginemounts I prefer to go OEM gearbox mounts, as the stress have to go somewhere.. So I found that the gearbox was the appropiate place.
So in other words they will be kept on for now.

I dont want to send my damperhousings away, as I use the car daily and I dont have time to wait for them. Some people IƦve been talking too also says that they can fix the KW's with new housings. It'll cost more, but well worth it.
One can allways sell the old ones later one if no going back to oem.
They are yet to be orderd.

soon Im home from work, then its just to move on the next subframe
