It sounds odd to say this, but i cant wait for a coil pack or a POS to die so i can justify one of these!

I have one of these made by Alex and its top notch and is perfect. I think its made better than it would have been had it come from a factory and it also looks totally OEM even though its not. When I priced it up, Alex's kit came out cheaper than 034 or Apikol so im not sure how this has changed. I would certainly buy another from Alex even if it worked out slightly more expensive than the others in the future if I brought another car that used it.

Ok so stupidly I have only got 1 picture of the coils in place with the loom on them. I havent plugged the loom in at the other end.... Will get that pic tonight and add it tomorrow.



In this one you can see the 5th coilpack is turned the other wya and the loom routing is tucked out of the way under coilpack 4.



Guys, if anyone is going to do this conversion, get the loom from Alex. I cant stress this enough. It was so easy and quick and no messing around once you part with your money!

Excuse my stupidity but is this to be left open or can the cover be fitted back on if needed

Best left off, the COP style coils need some air to keep them cool. The vanity cover will physically fit, but they will not last long due to the excess heat.

Bump to this thread, I have had a few people in touch recently asking about harnesses and other custom stuff.

Yes I still do them
Yes they are still the best quality available
No they don't use cheap Chinese ebay components
Yes they still use only OEM quality German materials
Yes they still have the best fitment

Also available on request - 3B to ABY ECU conversion kits, reverse inlet TPS & IAT extension kits, motorsport/MIL spec Raychem harnesses etc

Yes I still have the harness and same coils on my avant and YES it still works as perfectly as the day I fitted them October of 2014. in fact Yes the harness Alex made still looks as perfect now as it did when it arrived.

Best move anyone will ever make if you are looking to buy a harness from anywhere!
