I got a bush set from Albert (now Verkline ). The diff bush is a good fit.


New rear ball joints arrived. Good quality and reasonable price.


I also ordered a full set of Koni sports shocks. No point in doing half a job.

Shocks coming from winpart in Holland.
About £100 cheaper than lowest UK price.
Autodoc list them cheaper but when you go to order they try and replace with some of their rubbish which won't fit

A pillar rot is the death of these old girls.
What happens is that the drain in the corner under the windscreen rubber get blocked (body shops quite often weld them up when dealing with rust around the windscreen opening) and then it rots through and water runs down inside the A pillar. When you’ve done the repairs to the pillar you have to open the original drains through into the plenum and drench inside the pillars and in fact all the voids with cavity wax.

Vidar has made me a very nice custom radiator. Fitting however is a long way off. I’m still scraping away underneath and have uncovered more unseen rust.

Dave what did you pay in import tax the reason I’m asking is I will be ordering one from vidor shortly

It was an extra £90 in tax and fees. Parcel Force charge a £12 fee!
All in it was just under £400.
