Didn’t have much time to work in the garage today, so I just did some inventory, cleaning and inspection of the puzzle pieces.

I guess there are two types of 7A AC brackets. Mine is flat on the back and should also serve as a block off plate for the turbo oil port at the block.

Throttle body boot is a little dry. Debating getting a new one.

The TIP and Michelin man hose both look good. Ignore the 200’s coolant hose. Just wanted to get a picture of it for comparison to the S2 coolant hose that I still need to find.

Just notice this oil cooler line. Looks kind of pinched to me. Anyone else agree?

Yes, the oil cooler line doesn’t look good. You should be able to get a new one made easy enough.

Picked up the head from the shop yesterday and spent some time in the garage today. Got it torqued down per the ARP instructions. Anyone know if I’ll have to retorque after some heat cycles?

Got a coat of primer in the other night. Finish color will be silver, like I did on the 7A. The POR15 kit I bought last time has enough of some of the products to do 3 or 4 engines. Other products, only enough to do 2.

You're making good progress here. What Bentley manual is that in the above picture as it looks to a bit slimmer than the one that covers the 80, 90 and CQ?

Thank you! That is the engine volume for the ‘91 200. They came in a 3 volume set.

Thanks! I didn’t blast it. The kit comes with a degreaser, acid, primer, and top coat. They are applied in that order. The first two are rinsed off.

Excellent. I will get some for my Ur. I didn't want to blast as I was worried about stuff going in the openings.

                            What would you do...?

As I am working on the swap, a lot of hardware is getting replaced (studs, bolts, nuts, etc.). Everything will be stock to start off with, maybe for a long time. So, this combo of stock EM and WG will be used. Take a look at the nuts. I don’t think they’ll come off without issues. Should I leave them be?

Or should I go ahead and deal with it now before it gets worse?

If I were to upgrade, it would be something that would re-use the stock wastegate. So, I’ll have to deal with it at some point.

I think they will come off ok if you do it right. Clean off the surface rust with a wire wheel. Then heat up each nut a little. Then soak immediately in good penetrating oil for 24 hours. Then only use a hex socket, not an open ended spanner. Careful with the weld method here because sudden localised heat can crack cast iron.

When i pulled my WG off my Urs i has to use a dremel to cut the nuts off. They rounded pretty quick trying to get them off.
