    Exactly my thoughts.
If anyone is interested, I'm planning on selling her soon. I can't keep them all!
To comply with forum rules, I will put an advert together.

    Back home.
Car needs a really good wash.

I kept a record of fuel used during the trip.
    Best mpg 30.35
    Worst mpg 25.52
    2,025 miles
    £447 spent on fuel
Best mpg was slower A type road driving in Germany and France. Worst was Autobahn.
Car was defo driving more sweetly on Shell V power which is 100 Ron in Germany.
The car ran perfectly for the whole journey and I didn't need any tools from a comprehensive kit that I packed.

Looks like your having a great trip, I like that cut away RS2 engine, I have a pic of a 3B one sectioned in much the same way pinned to the wall in my kitchen.

I'm also partial to an E30 M3, in fact I like E30's in general even the base models are joy to drive, a good mate had a E30 318IS which was actually closer to 2.0L 16V and that went really well if kept revving.

What a coincidence that I met Ryan's friend on the trip.
    Last leg of the trip.
Somehow we ended up at BMW world in Munich? I must re program my sat nav.

I must admit that I do like the E30 M3.

A long time ago IIRC on the forum a member was at the Audi museum and they got the engine number off Audi’s last S2 off the production line and I think maybe Ryan’s car’s engine number was very close to the last. The last S2 off the production line was Silver same as Ryan’s

Onto the next leg. A quick blat to Ingolstadt.

Audi museum then a brilliant factory tour.
Any Audi fans should put this on their bucket list. No pics of the tour as you have to hand your phone in.
We were then invited to bring our special car into the private area for some pictures.

I saw lots of nice Classic Audi cars in town including a very nice 2.8 80 Quattro avant.

So this was the main reason for the trip. To take the Rs2 back to her birthplace.

It's a small world. I met a friend of a forum member from Malta. Ryan Aquila.

He had driven his Porsche all the way up.

Super unleaded is rather pricey here and I'm getting through quite a lot.

This is a good idea from John, it could be recovered with a bit of work and a new seal kit, still not the point though.

Glad I got one via you last year now as that's the alloy version with the Audi part No ground off, or a least I think it is, about to go and check.

Hope you're enjoying the trip, looks smashing.

We visited a castle in Nurburg. Nice view.
Then a blat down to Stuttgart.

    More coffee

Premier inn at Stuttgart has secure parking.

And you need an emissions sticker to enter several cities in Germany. Don't buy one before you travel as they cost about 15 euros on line. Pop into a mot station and they are 5 euros and last for the life of the vehicle.

    Yes.
Went through first thing this morning.

    Coffee en route

And Nurburgring by early afternoon. Met RXL (Rik) and safely delivered his gearbox.

The boy did a taxi ride

    And I watched.

I didn't want to risk taking the Rs2 around.
