  • Very probably the segment of the turbo oil paste.

    How soon began to make that smoke?

    • Piston ring on the turbine rotor. If you rebuild it check were the slots are meeting, bottom or top

      • Turbo is brand new. Done 120kms on it.maybe the slot is on the under side and it lets oil out while stationary?

        After I let it cool for 3 hours and started it nothing at all!

        • If turbo is leaking oil should get into intake(a small leak would not get up into IM) or exhaust side and smoke should be visible only when exhaut is hot,not at first start.
          Am I missing something?

          • Usually if the turbo oil seals are shot you will see smoke when the tolerances are greater thus when the turbo is cold. When it warms metal expands and it seals better. After covering about 500km it seems to have stopped doing this. I don't see oil at all....on cold start ups or during full throttle....

            Maybe the seal ring need a small settle in?

            • I am thinking about EV14 injectors and wanted to ask the following since te price difference is minor: should I go for 850ccm or 1000 ones? Speaks something against the 1000 option?

              • A system with stock fuel lines won't max out 750cc's, never mind 850cc's or 1000cc's.

                    • No, even the 1000cc's will idle fine. At least they did on Motronic
                      With 2000cc's you might start to get issues though.
