Unbelivable! Never seen any b4 platform as this nice buildt from the ground and up. What you are doing Tom is pure art.
I wish I did mine from scratch, but that have to be in another life

It does, but I still can't see exactly where the lighting harness comes through. It appears that the lighting harness is coming from one of the upper holes. You can easily ID the light harness due to its small white strip running down the length of the covering. Can you follow the harness from the headlights back to the firewall and just tell me maybe?

You can see in this picture that the ABS harness comes in through the bottom hole. I've currently got the lighting harness in the next one up and I believe the engine harness is the third one from the bottom.

I mounted a few brackets in the engine bay and attempted to install some wiring. Added the new heat $$hield also.

Installed the elusive red RS2 hatch handle. A view of it from the inside for those who have been wondering.

A shot from the rear showing the center panel, the recently installed roof rails, Fuba aerial.

You should have 3 sets of rods.
The shortest one (look same view as my pics) goes from the top of the lock barrel to the centre of the handle. This is the one that slides a plastic part across when the lock is operated to stop the handle working.

Then the one from the latch (on the same side as the lock) goes to the BOTTOM hole on the handle. (Marked 2)
The one on the other (obviously) goes to the TOP. (Marked 3)

#2 is the one that has the an angle bent in the rod, that rod goes nearest the handle.

                            Hopefully that makes sense!
To adjust, the easiest way is to keep the tailgate open and first get it so the handle will operate the latches.
Simply click the latches shut and then adjust the length of the rods by turning one of them to lengthen or shorten it (it screws in and out of the black plastic bits that connect the rods together)
You need to aim to have it so there is very little slack, so as soon as you start to pull the handle it is pulling on the latches without much movement first.
Once you have it so the handle is operating the latches you can try to shut the tailgate and see if it will open. It probably wont at first, as the rods will need some fine adjustment. They will either not latch atall (rods to short) or the handle will move but not click them open (rods too long)
If they will not click open then you have to climb in the back door and operate them manually by pulling the rod.

From that point it is trial and error, and can be quite annoying! Dont be surprised if you get one side right, then other stops working!
                            Good luck
