Epic thread. Looking forward to updates! I've not enjoyed reading one as much as this since the RS80 back in 2001-2ish.

It's been almost a month since my last update. Life is keeping me pretty busy so I haven't had a chance to get back to the RS until this morning. I woke up early, with my son Joseph in tow, and went to the paint shop. Joseph didn't have any trouble finding the "du cah".

I was able to finish up the suspension and get the remaining Cup II wheels mounted. I had planned to get the parking brake cables/handle in place and functioning, but I ran out of time......again.

With the car on the ground the shop will buff the car one more time and then it comes home. I've got to mount the bumpers and install trim once she is in my garage. Next week I'll get the car off my trolley and take a couple more pictures.

Hey tom - would you be able to come over to england sometime and show madwolf how it is done putting a car back together rather than just stripping it

Look forward to seeing the updates, its a lot more to put something together and create rather than strip something down. How's the rest of your cars coming along?

Pete, I can TRY to show Madwolf, but I am not sure it will do any good.

My other cars......well, I just finished rebuilding the front end of the S4. I replaced all the bushings, control arms, tie rods, upper mounts, etc. I also removed my H&Rs and swapped them for my previous setup, Sachs Sport springs and Bilsteins, which I prefer. My B2 90q turbo has a blown head gasket. I have the parts, but no time to do the work. Soon though hopefully as I miss driving it.

Looking really good Tom... Setting the bar very high which I think is great. I was looking at the pics when my lad turns up beside and asks whose car is that. I asked him if he remembered the american guy from Goodwood last year and told him it was yours. All he said was 'cool colour'... so there is recognition for you.

Yeah, his growth is out of control! He has just turned two and the 3 year old clothes he's wearing are too small. I think he's going to make a great yard man.

Cheers Paul. Just tell him that I was the funny talkin' guy with the Gone with the Wind accent.

Speaking of Goodwood, will you guys be returning again this year? I should be able to get back if the wifey will allow me. I see that Audi Tradition has the FoS on their calendar again this year. I should start a FoS 2010 thread.

                              Anyone heard from Al?

What's the difference between an RS2 front wing and a standard late 80 one? I thought it was the side repeaters, but then UK spec RS2s seem to have them anyway.
