I will look at all the options in the winter. I had to have a solution sorted for next weekend so it was back to the old set up.

Had a superb weekend at Ten of the Best. Got there on the Saturday and had the same issues with the missfire in 3rd and 4th. Changed a few things and eventually cured it by closing up the plug gaps.
Saturday night there was a storm and it was soaking wet but luckily it dried up in time for running. The only problem was that the wind had come around 180 degrees from the Saturday and was now a huge headwind. Did 3 runs with the car set up for the handling course and ran an 11.09 @ 128mph. Decided at that point to go and do some runs on the handling. The car did 6 runs and ended up finishing 20th out of 120 so I was happy with that considering the quality of the field.
Decided after that to call it a day as it was starting to rain and the car was still running well so it went back on the trailer! The alternator belt stayed on all weekend without issue so glad to have sorted that issue!

And some footage of the weekends event which includes a couple of clips of mine.
Just need to get the roof and rear 3/4's painted now and then it will be down to Edition 38 at the very start of September. Hopefully will have some new wheels on it by then as well!Comment

Managed to get the car painted a couple of weeks ago and got it all back together for last weekend's Edition 38 show.
I also managed to get a set of the BBS E50 wheels built up for the show. I had the barrels blasted to clean them up and got hold of 4 3" dishes to fill the arches nicely. They are bolted together with titanium bolts just to make them extra special! They are now 10" with a set of the slicks on that came with them.

Ran the car yesterday at a local event on an airfield. The surface is very poor so its hard to get any decent times. Had the slicks on looking to make the most out of the surface. Managed to get a couple of good launches which gave a 1.6 60 foot time. Best time was 11.10 @ 126mph. Was hoping to be well into the 130mph terminals as there was a good tail wind. So checked the logs and was only getting 1.8 bar. Checked the engine over and no holes in the boost pipes or any loose connections. So was pretty happy to be almost into the 10's at 1.8 bar. Once it gets back up to 2.2 bar I am sure it will go well into the 10's with a decent surface.
Thats it for the year now. Need to sort an oil leak on the front plate and fit a breather tank to the crankcase. Apart from that just the cambelt, and dry sump belt to change and its good for next year which is a nice position to be in!
Made a camera mount to get some onboard videos. Its 5mm alloy bolted to the B pillar/ main hoop of the cage. Shows just how much the car vibrates with the solid mounts! Got way too much wheel spin and had to lift out in 1st. Will be getting launch control set up for next years racing!

Thank you for a very detailed build thread. It´s been joyfull to read it all.
Boosts my wish to build my own. Just need to finish a couple of other projects first. But you are with your constant progress a true inpiration to us all.

So at the end of last year the engine was running fine bar being down on boost had had a developing oil leak from the front plate. I had the front of the engine in bits anyway to change the cam belt and dry sump belt so I pulled the front plate off. It was leaking where the oil is fed into the main gallery. The engine runs 85psi of pressure so its no wonder it had come past the gasket. I have hopefully cured this by having the plate machined for an O ring. I forgot to take any pictures and fingers crossed I wont get the chance to any time soon!
The nest job to sort was adding a catch tank to the crankcase. It was open to the atmosphere with a rubber flap covering it but it had been letting a little oil out so it needed sorting properly. First job was to machine a new blanking plate with a -12 fitting pushed in.

I bought a Moroso catch tank as it was exactly what I was after and came with a nice clamp:

Plate in place on the block and a little bracket made to hold the tank:

Breather in place:

Also on the picture I have added a shut off valve to the oil feed. When the car was sitting for long periods it would gradually drain the entire oil tank into the engine. This will only be shut off when parked up for long periods. I am also thinking of adding a switch to the lever for the ecu power so it cant run if the valve is off.
I have also added a larger brake pedal to the Tilton pedal box. I was finding it hard with such a small pedal (it was the same size as the others) to get enough pressure on. I was going to make my own but just before Christmas Tilton made their own, obviously others have had the same issue.

Next was the low boost issue. At the last event I suspected it had sheared the boost controller wire when the alternator was throwing belts. However when I inspected it at the event I could only find this damage which hadn't cut through it:

When I got it off the car for a closer look further up the wire was rubbed clean through:

So I have pieced a bit of wire back in and we will be back up to proper boost!
I have replaced the cam cover bolts which were stainless button heads with titanium cap heads. I couldn't tighten the button heads enough and it was seeping a little oil, oh and they look cool!

So the engine is all back together and hopefully should be fluid tight again fingers crossed! Looking forwards to getting some use out of it this year!
