very nice, great attention to detail. The fuel cooler looks quite big, does it get that hot?

Looking good as I do love the black fittings...
please dont take this the wrong way but I am very sorry to say but the fuel reg is not plumbed up right. The return line should exit on the bottom of the reg.
Also the fuel sample fitting needs to be fitted on the pressure side of the system, so either on the end of the reg that you have the -6 fitting fitted to know or near the high pressure pumps as it wont push the fuel out of the system where it is. See pic of my reg
Hope this helps and if you want to chat about it just give me a call.Attached FilesComment

Great update as always, only concern I would have is running fuel lines through the cabin. I know if you go into a proper drag racing series you are allowed no fuel in the cabin incase of fire and the scrutineers are real uptight about it. Obviously I don't know what the regs are like in sprinting and rally etc but is worth double checking if you haven't already.UrS6 Stroker + HTA3586 =

Fuel lines inside the cabin is fine, its just some rule they are bringing into drag racing, or already have.
Fuel tanks and dry sump tanks will now need to be firewalled and depending on what your running the car in you may have to comply with those which can be quite difficult to sort out.Comment

Hi Dave, my fuel pressure regulator doesn't have an exit on the bottom of it? Its not an aeromotive one so is set out differently.
As for the fuel sampling I did a bit of thinking on that one. I asked the guy I bought the fittings off and he said most people were putting them on the non pressure side and were getting away with it. I wont have any problem getting fuel out of that return line as its got to balance up what the lift pump pushes into the swirl pot.
Fuel lines inside the cabin are ok JP. I dont plan on going into the drag racing that seriously. They are PTFE lined so no horrible fumes come through them which you notice on some cars! All my tanks, pumps, filters etc are all behind the firewall, so I wont have any issues there.Comment

Cool that's good info as unfortunately our MK2 has fuel tank swirl pot and lines in the car and is going to be a nightmare cosmetically to sortFuel lines inside the cabin is fine, its just some rule they are bringing into drag racing, or already have.

Thought it was about time for a small update.
The oil lines are now all run through the car:

I then moved onto building the turbo brace:

Finally the intercooler turned up, still waiting on the boost pipes then I can get on with the boost pipework.

Hopefully I will get all the pipe work finished off and get it away for welding this month then its just down to wiring and getting it fired up!Comment

As ever outstanding work, the car is going to be a beauty.
Out of interest will you run bias control on the pedal box as well as the rear adjuster I can see pictured ?Comment

Yes I am going to be running the bias on both. I dont have much faith in the compbrake pedal box though hence I added the inline one.
The oil lines to and from the tank are -12. I had considered -16 for the return but I am going to see how it goes first. I cant see any reason for running a feed line from the tank any bigger than -12?Comment

I think Repo ment to small as you need slack in the lines. You should not have them tight like thatChefComment
