The plan with the handbrake is to run the standard rear calipers for MOT day then swap back over to the porsche ones for the rest of the year. I have made the hydraulic handbrake pull on the cables for the rear calipers. I asked the guy that MOT's my cars about it and he said how does he know what locks the calipers the cable or hydraulics so as long as it looks like the cables are doing work thats fine.

Thanks for all the positive comments.

Not worked on it a great deal lately but I have been buying a few bits.

James put me onto a group buy on a dash, which after looking at it for a while I couldn't turn down with 23% off. So a bit thanks to him for that!

I had always wanted a stack dash but they are now the best part of a grand so this seemed like the better option. Its made by a company called Race Technology, its obviously all digital so all the scales can be changed and which screens are displayed. The dash can be plugged directly into most aftermarket ECU's so it pulls all its information from there. That means there is no extra wiring loom or sensors.

The final exhaust bits landed from Nortech

I am going to be fitting 2 silencers to try and keep the noise under track limits, and plumbing the wastegate back into the downpipe. Also got flexibles for the main exhaust and wastegate pipe, and a couple of v-bands to split the exhaust down into 3 sections.

Lastly I bought a tial VD-R wastegate which replaced there old 44mm.

Propshaft is fitted up, which just fits due to the larger tube I had it made out of. As you can see there isn't much room in the trans tunnel with that in there, which is why I went with the oval tubing to keep it above floor level. The exhaust is the final job to do under the car after than it can go back onto its wheels finally!

It just seems to be a light dust over it JP, it rubs off back to being nice and shiney. Not too sure what to make of it, not that its bothering me!

Looks good. I went through 2 016 trans in under a month with that HTA 3582r. 2nd gear shears off at anything over 24psi. 01e seems to be doing lots better at 30psi on e85. Just to give you something to look forward to, on stock head and 7a cams, I have full 30psi by 4000, and as much as 10psi by 3700. on the road, it spools even faster then my old standard 30r. Finish er up!!

                  Header looks good.

Any more info on the Race Technology group buy? I have been looking at those for a while.

The silencers are from Jetex James.

I have been putting some thought into the 016 box and dont think it will hold up like you have found out. I think I will swap over to the 01E and go onto the s2 hubs so i can get some proper coilovers. Sounds like the turbo is performing superbly! I cant wait to get it going myself!

I prototyped all the conversion parts to make the 01e work in the URQ with stock linkage, rs2 replica tranmission arms, and spacers to make the original half shafts work in the 01e application. Marc Swanson/EFI EXPRESS will carry these conversion parts for far less money and with lots less work then doing rs2 bits.

It is not needed to get the rs2 mounts, uprights, halfshafts, exc.. It is not that cut and dry as you have to use two passenger side half shafts with spacers, but it works perfectly. Everything is retained, including the reverse lockout.

Plus, the URQ halfshafts are beefier then rs2 stuff anyway. That hta 35r has a way of being hard on parts though...

What downpipe did you use? A custom one? Do you have a project thread as well about your UrQ?

Nice, so the spacers worked well then?
