To say I spend the majority of my spare time up at Bri's workshop working on this project and that it's fast moving would be the understatement of the century . I can't beleive how much gets done on this car and that's in between all the brew's (I usually have to make)....swine! To prove it's quick progression I've not been up there for the past two nights and it's just took Bri a 25minute phone call to update me on what he's done, what he's ordered/bought and what he's scheming next!

Don't underestimate this project guy's it is not one for the faint hearted.....or should I say short tempered but if it cracks on the way the way it has up to now......knowing how good the final product is gonna be might just end up with us finishing before the personalised deadline of September . This is gonna be the ultimate weapon!! and definatley one to be seen.

    See you Friday Mr T!

Repaired one wing this afternoon where I removed too much steel as the wings from KER Innovotec do not cover as much as the rally ones I borrowed.

I can't find any detailed info on the net of how to fit sport quattro wings so when I'm finished I will post another thread of the way I will do mine.

Having been for a spin around the block.... I have just been pulled over by a nice police man for having no lights....... or engine, gearbox, door, etc

Fortunatly SteveT63 the police man was an avid Audi fan and let me continue taping bits on to get some inspiration to continue what seems like endless welding...

I have started the C Pillars

    Removing the internal support cap

Cutting through the rear inner quarter

Removing the skin from the old Audi 80 2 door rear C Pillar

Audi 80 2 Door Top of C Pillar filled with expanding foam???? Once removed and cleaned up this is what I have used to graft the 2 together.

The QC C Pillar layed inside the Kevlar roof

Rear of the SQ with the C Pillars removed

Inside once the two parts have been put back together.

First weld has taken place just needs tidying to finish off...

Just need to extend the Quarter glass frame now with a 1" (Approx) flat piece of steel to mount the roof / window rubber to.

Amazing job. Will be spot on when finished.

Hope I get to see it at some point...

Love the welding mask too, I want one.... Wouldn't mind ASQ either though...

Yes I am still aiming to get it done for September... I will try my very best to get it ready for then but If I need to take my time to get something right I'm not going to cut any corners... It just seems like I have got to weld forever at the min... And with it being such thin steel in places it's a PITA. No matter as long as someone keeps me topped up with Tea I will crack on. It's just a shopping list of parts again now...

By the way can someone tell me which passat lights and brackets I need for the headlights I have forgotten again.
