It's about 2½ years now, but who's counting?
I haven't forgotten what it's like to drive an S2.
It's still the car I am most passionate about. Even though it looks like an old wreck on the driveway.
When I was mounting my WG on my car I thought it was a silly design, not being able to rotate the actuator so that the control port wasn't right above the turbo hotside. I've got plenty of Fyre Foil here to protect any nearby hoses.SSComment

i use samco silicone hoses there, not vaccum hoses and they are fine. I do use metal clips, except the one that goes on the top champer of the wastegate now, which i cannot find a clip that small atm.
bram, hows the project coming along? did you start the car yet?Comment

Hopefully this weekend! Still need to fix the turbo hose to the Wagner IC, put in the turbo oil drain hose (should fit now, but I forgot the turbo middle section oil drain studs needed to be M10 now with the CT middle section compared to Garrett) and put in all the fluids. Next Wednesday I have to drive it somewhere else to put in the new sinter clutch, so it has to start!

Hi Bram I have 2 ct458 turbos 1 is a 3b & the other is a normal oneHopefully this weekend! The normal one has 8mm studs, the 3b appears not to be metric to small for 10mm to big for 8mm must be a imperial size, so maybe your are not M10 ? worth checking with a m10 bolt just to confirmRS 2 580HPComment

Cheers for coming back to this issue. Today I found out that the, 3B center section from CT, studs for the oil drain flange needs to have size 3/8" (approx 9.5mm) x 1.5 (URC thread, imperial, not fine) after calling Justin at CT. So not metric.
Actually I would like CT to include a bit more instructions on their website, like Garrett does on their products, or include the correct bolts with the purchase. Those 5 USD extra material cost should be covered by the retail price I guess, and would make life much more convenient for EU people.
A M10 stud did not fit, as I tried that today. Tomorrow I need to search for new studs.......again
