      • Thanks gents

        Now done 1000miles in the new car. Went from Stirling to Fort William, Applecross, Torridon, Inverness, Loch Ness then back down to Stirling.

        At the top of the Applecross road;

        Really starting to enjoy the car now I have some miles on it, I have mostly stopped shifting from 6th to 5th instead of 3rd when overtaking It is very composed handling, very tractable and reasonably quick, can overtake ok.

        And much to my girlfriends delight;

        Still need to sort the seats though, the stock ones are coming out and my Recaro Speeds are going in

              • Survived the first track day!

                Is feels like the 350 has loads more grip on corner entry and mid corner than the S2, you can just turn in and lean on the front so much, where the S2 would just start too push wide. I could make the S2 rotate hard by trail braking or lifting, but both are rather aggressive, this just turns in beautifully.

                However.... on corner exit there is a severe lack or traction when the throttle is applied, I have been spoilt by quattro and it shows!

                If I cause the car to slide I can balance it on the throttle, more throttle, more slide, less throtttle and the car comes back into line, however when the back end stepped out on the exit at Clark I instinctively applied throttle and steered into the slide which would straighten the S2 out, but instead resulted in a rather fast spin into the gravel

                So more practice required

                Aside from that it has just been maintence
