Also have an AAN valve cover comingCurrent plan is
ABY ecu conversion with coils
check everything works
Fit wagner intake manifold
remove gearbox
remove downpipe
fit new turbo
fit clutch
refit gearbox
make new downpipe
fit exhaust
fit pressure side maf
fit eboost
check car runs on low boost
drive to Automark, fit 440 injectors
Live map
Any suggestions/flaws in my cunning plan?
I presume I can continue to use the 7a fpr as it is 4 bar same as ABY?Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

Yep, although I switched to an ABY fuel rail while I was at it

That all sounds like a good plan, I can see myself doing the same within 12 months.
Are 440's going to be enough, do you know what Albert uses?1990 B3 2.0 80 quattro.

Just for fun or for more reliable ignition? ABY has better vag com stuff as well.
Hopefully, Mark said they would be fine, said they flow more fuel than some other higher rated ones.
Albert
It is not good to run over 80% duty cycle on injectors. Get 550 cc @ 3 bar to be on safe side. You can boost the press to 4 bar if you would need more. Use Bosh 040 fuel pump form old Audi k jetronic to pump the fuel.
I'm runing my K26 on the race track ... it is responsive
look at the videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClx...gynbMJGPOVvT4w
I can make a bet that it is more responsive than the RS2 turbo. This is why I did not get it my self. It has much older compressor wheel in technology aspect.Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

Safer ignition mainly, which I would want with one of Alberts turbos plus Dmitri will still map it when he's over here. If I stick with RS2 spec the dissy stays for the foreseeable future, I'm not going to change anything until I've done a good few miles with the new clutch fitted which will be happening soon. I should have a new OE Sachs release bearing on Monday, they can't get the SRE one any longer, it was only £18 but is the correct one so should be OK.1990 B3 2.0 80 quattro.

Might as well put these here, I think this is all you need apart from some cushions, a good head torch, pin extractor, some wire and a few connectors (2 x 4 pin and 2 x 3 pin male Junior timer)
Wiring of the 4 connectors for the coilpack loom
The 2 x 3 pin connectors are easy, they are the +12v supplies for the coils so all the pins are the same. (I did all three on both so they're interchangeable
)
The 4 pin connector with all 4 pins populated as follows:
Pin 1 - Cylinder 3 coil trigger
Pin 2 - ECU Earth
Pin 3 - Cylinder 2 coil trigger
Pin 4 - Cylinder 1 coil trigger
The 4 pin connector with only 3 pins populated as follow:
Pin 2 - ECU Earth
Pin 3 - Cylinder 5 coil trigger
Pin 4 - Cylinder 4 coil triggerAttached FilesComment

Do you have any recommendations on pin extractors? (I have just used ground down things in the past)
How are the ecu pins numbered? EG left to right as you face the plug?
Alex is doing this for me

Use a 2 and 3 pin connector to connect to a small sub-harness that runs back to the ECU with your 5 coil trigger outputs you need to add to the ECU connector. That way you can unplug and remove the actual coil harness if necessary which will make life easier in future, plus it will make the install easier.
Run it through the bulkhead using one of the blank grommets under where the battery tray used to be, I can install the actual grommet on the sub-harness before terminating it with the right ECU terminals.
Then you just bosch it through the bulkhead and plug straight into the ECU connector when you do the pin swap. Simples

The connector is numbered, at least at the ends, so you just count along, the wire colours in the pinout table help.
I bought one of These but it arrived after I'd finished, I have another one which is a bit of a fiddleComment
