Yes it does, and the part of the loom attached is just the right length to reach the gearbox.

What does it do and can I remove it without causing unwanted problems (Not that wanted problems usually occur )

        im with repo.

light cars benifit from big turbos. easy to get up to rpm fast enough. keep the power high will help with traction too.

i may have gone with a lighter engine though. torque is no issue in a light car. its about hp all the way. honda b18c with a big blower maybe

they do make great engines. thats the newer 2.4 4pot isn't it.

i like the older b18c from the integra and civic type r. the import ones. easy 500hp with a blower. i think they need it for the torque figures as they are a little flat to say the least.

this car could see the 8's id expect with a b18c

There is such as thing as too much power... right?

Budget is, as always an issue. So it's going in with the chipped ECU (285hp/450nm) and the engine as is. That will allow me to get everything working, fuel electrics etc. Then I can plan in a rebuild tune etc.

First Issue I have is making sure the Turbo and WG fit and that the chassis rail is not in the way.

Not the best video but it gives you an idea.

This is just a standard NF engine that was not yet setup :S

You're right thats the speed sensor in the gearbox. One down a few more to go

Aux Waterpump ordered from Ebay, plastic housing was broken on the old one.

Dashboard arrived today as well. (Digidash from ETB)

Now just gotta finish the other Devil off and then I can get really cracking on the S2 Engine!

I was right, turbo hit the chassis but I think I've solved it.

Old motor is out, the new is half in.....

                            Gearbox fitted fine...

...engine and box in, it fits, just....

...left hand mount needs to be changed...

                            ...Right hand also....

...and as you can see, not much room to play with.

Once I've finished all the mounts, engine and box will come out again and then I'll tidy it up, strngthen the rear wishbones and do the bits and pieces on my list. Once thats all done, tidy up the engine, fix any leaks, drop it back in and find an intercooler and an oil cooler that'll fit.

Plan is to have the car ready on time to take it to Le Mans 2010.

Just pulled all of the original engine and gearbox mounts out and lowered the lot as far as it will go. Gained a bit more room but now need to decide on engine/gearbox mounts; solid or almost solid? (I only have about 2-3cm above and below the turbo on the air side, as opposed to the exhaust side.)
