thats only if you have the top of the reservoir as the air pressure pumps it out, if you keep the top on you do lose coolant but not enough to change the reservoir level.

        Did this yesterday

                mapping session was completed.

final calculated dyno numbers were 464hp (crank) and around 450ish ftlbs torque ( around 610Nm).

That was with 1.7-1.75bar overboost and 1.65bar steady.

We could push abit more on the overboost section and get a bit more torque, but with no real hp increase.

No knock anywhere and pushing more than 1.7bar didnt knock but didnt really make more power.

Rough IAT at beggining of runs was 25C and at the end of each pull around 31-32C.

EGTs stayed below 980ish on the EM collector, reflecting the smaller garrett hotside.

I have some work to do in the boost section as i didnt want to spend more time on the dyno, in regards to getting rid some oscillations at the beggining of the boost coming in. Looked like we were getting full boost and a spike of 1.9 sometimes at 3800rpm, although vems was logging it at 4300 for some reason and i couldnt figure out. It could be the live logging rather than the save and go one.

However in real time, boost does come in at 3800 on 3d so ill need to configure the curve a bit to make it smooth, as at 1.45bar it was only having a tiny spike.

All runs were done on 3d gear, with full load, so that we dont have to keep doing longer runs on 4th or 5th gears. As i was told, by adjusting the load you we were getting the same results as we would if we had a higher gear in, so that is how dyno's can give weird results!!

if the drums are overloaded the run is as if it was done on uphill rather than a straight line surface and hence you get high EGTs and sometimes a drop off at high revs of the boost.

Overall, very pleased with the results. The run i have posted on the virtual dyno initially made 315whp and with a minor fueling adjustment, it went to 327whp, while the actual initial on the virtual dyno was giving 327-330whp. So pretty close i must say.

once i get the boost curve sorted ill do my own dyno runs and hopefully i wont be far off the dyno figure. I think it may actually be closer to 470ish crank hp.
So with less boost i came really close to the figure i had with the 0.82ar turbo. That is a good result for me!

                more to come!

                            Sounds sweet!

So you had a 327whp run on the VDR before the dyno session? And the first pull on the dyno was in the 327-330whp range? If so, that is great news.
I just got some very, very interesting test data on a 90 with 20vt that made 515whp on a Mustang Dyno. The VDR pull on the same car gave 491whp with Mustang correction and 501whp uncorrected, so very close, but on the conservative side vs. at least that dyno.

                              No,
My very first run was 315whp on dyno-dynamics dyno when that was given from the virtual-dyno as being 327whp. However, on the session yesterday there were 3 people in the car at all times so i dont know how that could affect results or not. Im thinking that if all the dyno-dynamics results are a bit lower than the virtual dyno, it may be that i could be in the region of 470hp crank, and closer to my old setup as well (387whp).

Yep, had a feeling that the pull was on a Dyno Dynamics. Assuming normal calibration, the DD is one of the lowest reading dynos out there, so 367whp on one of those is very, very solid for moderate boost on petrol
Their crank estimates are based on a database generated from testing on an engine dyno, so it is actually not bad.
How much torque at the wheels? (also wtq from your VDR run and initial DD run)
The DD reads somewhat lower than even the Mustang. The Mustang emulates the exact load that the car will see on the road, so the results on those will be pretty much spot on with the VDR and other road based tests. DD will be lower than that again, so it makes perfect sense that it was 12whp less than what you saw on the road. However, the dyno results were probably corrected for temp, etc, and if you do that for the VDR pull, it will probably take the numbers down a little bit since outside temps were probably less than 25C.
